Fuck you Ubisoft, as long as this sack of shit and anyone who agrees with him still has a job, you can fuck off and die.

People still don't realize that it's an unwanted headache to make games for PC?

Oh well, sooner or later they will get the picture. PC gaming rigs have millions of hardware differences, in case this fact confuses you.

EDIT: Holy shit that sounded mean, don't reply to me if my post made you angry. The truth hurts, but I don't want to add more salt to your wounds.
Unfortunately you are the one confused. A million combinations, please. Two CPU makers, two GPU makers and one API, Directx (the same API as the 360). Yeah, sooo complicated. Not like in years past, with the 5 CPU makers, 6 GPU makers all with their own API's. The PC has never been so consolidated from a programming point of view. The only complication is some extra Q&A testing which most companies don't even seem to bother with seeing what they let out the door. ID did their testing with video drivers they made themselves, that's not testing.

Please keep your uninformed comments to yourself. And yes, the truth hurts.....

How dare you call Bethesda VP Pete Hines uninformed and confused! Do you hold a more prevalent position in the gaming industry than a VP that worked on Skyrim?? Didn't think so.

Easily, he is uniformed....

Also wasn't he saying that as the case to why the console version of Skyrim would be less buggy than the PC version, due to them having less hardware variation. Well that worked out well didn't it. Suffice to say I don't put much stock in his statements...

Yes, silly PC gaming elitists! We didn't want your money anyways! Who needs success and wealth in this society, eh?! No one! That's right! I'm right, you gravel chewing peasants!

*mutter mutter whisper whisper*

...What? What do you mean this could decrease potential sales?! Money? What about i- ...ooooh. ...FU-

Wow, what a douche. I'm not even a PC gamer and that guy pisses me off. You couldn't have just politely said no? Instead, he says "I hear you whining, but you are all pirates or cheapskates anyway."
I was going to write a post - but this is pretty much what I would have said.

Also he's like a couple of words short of just saying "All PC gamers are pirates".

I will laugh my proverbial tits off if this game turns out super bad (chances are good) - no one buys it and in an effort to recuperate sales they try and sell it over Steam. Oh please let that happen.

Also slightly OT, but is it just me or does it recently look like all the publishers are trying their damnedest to kill the games industry?

Another slightly OT point - but the way he describes the way his company "ports" games to the PC... don't think I want a game by someone who invests so little in to making it fit the platform.
Having said that, in recent years virtually all devs have released nothing but hasty and bad console ports. "But WHY are PC games not selling well even though we invested virtually no time and effort in to them?! I just don't understand!!"

oh my, how unheard of and completely outrageous, a platform exclusive game...
/blank voice

Seriously guys, calling them dicks for following a common video game practice?

Why don't I have Donkey Kong 64 for PC! Where's my godddamn World of Warcraft on Xbox 360? Rachet and Clank on PC? Why isn't new Super Mario Bros Wii on PC!? And no Halo on Playstation 3!? Worse of all, I CAN'T EVEN PLAY MODERN WARFARE 3 ON MY COMMODORE 64!!!

WHAT UTTER FUCKING CUNTS THESE DEVELOPERS ARE!

Right guys?

:p

As for a serious response before anyone gets to riled up at me:
I hadn't even heard of this game now. Having games exclusive to certain consoles is a very normal thing. Yeah might suck for some of you who wanted it on PC, but thats how it has always been and I quite frankly don't see a real problem with it. Want the game, you need the right console. Simple.

You mean like when Rockstar put LA Noir up for PC after their less than stellar sales? Hypocrite much? I wonder how well THAT sold.

I only do it on occasion then i will just delete it or go and buy the game. i enjoy patches and showing off too much heh
im not picking just making a point, i just don't believe the math we see on the numbers of pirated games

i just don't believe the projected sales of 'everything they make' could be anything like the cash people have, and weather or not they actually like the games

Personally, I wish most of these monopolist-fatcat publishers and developers (Ubisoft, Activision, EA, and their respective thralls) would ditch pc gaming entirely. It would open the market for new companies with fresh ideas, who are willing to take risks and further develop the entertainment medium. I would love to see a dozen more of CD Project Red (a company with real respect for their consumers) replace these bloated monoliths headed by miserable pricks like Mr. Mettra. Additionally, PC gaming would not have to be held back by the console market when the current generation is nearing the end of it's lifespan (see skyrim graphics).

I understand now. You have a much greater vast understanding on the way these things work, more so than people who have serious jobs in the gaming industry... Thank you for alleviating my and the VP at Bethesdas, ignorance on how making games works. You are a true hero to us underprivileged fools.

Cheers!
Sure and you hang on to that quote from the marketing VP at Bethesdas for all you are worth. I tend not to listen to anything from marketing guys.

I just can't make up my mind whether I like Ubisoft. Sometimes, I really like them and then there are times when I wish they'd go bankrupt.

I've never heard of 'I Am Alive' but it seems like a strange way for a company to put it. They can't profit from insulting PC gamers.

"Would they buy it if we made it?"
Probably not, considering they'd shit it up with damn near unplayable DRM or port the damn thing so badly that it would be a waste of money to begin with.

After how badly they killed the Splinter Cell and Rainbow Six series, I'm content with having nothing to do with 'Soft.

What a pathetic attempt to gain publicity for their crap game, Ubisoft are so awful that they even make EA look good.
Crap? It looks pretty exciting to me. I definitely wanted to buy this, but now I can see that won't be an option unless I also drop $250 on a console.

I actively don't care about the plight of the PC gamer.

Sorry.

I was mildly interested in this game before. I think I'll buy it now.

I for one have a hard time understanding why anyone still likes them. All the best games from them I've played were last generation, and they ruined them with the current. Namely Prince of Persia and Splinter cell.
