Yes, and stay in school.

Gentle mocking at spelling aside, it's a game, how are you scared?

If it's just the start of the game that frightens you then I believe you have LiamNeesonphobia, the only cure is to never, ever, watch anything with Liam Neeson in.

Doom is supposed to be scary? I thought it was just cheesy...and as for your dilema, you have to have some sort of reason why you would be afraid of the game. Fallout isn't exactly something that comes to mind when I am thinking of scary things. I really don't understand how you are not afraid of amnesia yet are afraid of fallout. Thats like not being afraid of The Ring and being afraid of the Tellytubbies!(On second thought, thats a terrible example, the Tellytubbies scare the shit out of me)

EDIT: And what the hell is TubbyCustard made out of anyway!? Human flesh?

Honestly, I was a little bit scared first time I played fallout 3. It's definetly worth persevereing though because it is a fun game. Once you get to the point where you start mowing enemies down without a care in the world it stops being scary...except for the deathclaws. You might want to consider getting fallout new vegas because its much better in my opinion and it's not scary at all.

Yeah, the atmosphere of F3 doesn't help the feeling of scaredness, especially when you can hear a ghoul/deathclaw/whatever but you have no idea where it is. Best advice I can give is to just stick with it and plough on. Oh, and to go to the Dunwich Building as well, full of kittens and rainbows, that is.

I kinda understand this. Often when playing Fallout, I feel tense and uneasy. I think it has to do with the music cues, and the fact that I can't aim for shit.

All I can say is, it's absolutely worth persevering through one of the greatest games ever. It'll become a lot less scary, because I suspect that one of the major causes of your fear is not knowing what dangers wait around the corners. A few levels in, it becomes a cakewalk and this ceases to be relevant.

Also, I'm surprised that Fallout 3 bothers you after Amnesia.

Uhh... scared of what exactly?

I struggle to see how anyone who has played Amnesia could find Fallout 3 scary. That's like someone wrestling a bull to the ground, then getting scared by a bowl of porridge.

So, care to elaborate?

Have you encountered the flying behemoth yet? No? Then you do not understand the meaning of fear.

The Dunwich Building is the Fallout version of the Shalebridge Cradle. Anyway if you're scared, just get bigger guns. It's hard to be frightened when you're mowing down monsters with a minigun or a rocket launcher.

Tubby Custard
Teletubbies eat Tubby Custard as a special treat. Sometimes is is very runny and they spill it. Then Noo-Noo has to clean it up. Here's a recipe for your very own Tubby Custard!
You will need:

*A sachet of Custard mix (whatever that is!..I haven't tried this recipe)

*red or pink food colouring

*A measuring jug

*A kettle

*A fork or hand wisk

Empty your sachet of custard mix into your measuring jug.

Ask someone to switch on the kettle (if you are young and can't do it yourself). When the water has boiled, ask a friend (if you are young) to pour it into the measuring jug, filling it to the 3/4 pt or 425ml level. The water is very, very hot -so be careful, even those of you who are old.

Then, using your fork or whisk, stir the water and the custard mix together. Keep stirring until all the custard powder dissappears and the mixture looks nice and smoother. If it looks too thick, pour in more water.

Now for the exciting bit! Carefully put 2 or 3 drops of your food colouring into the custard and quickly stir it in.

Presto! Your custard is pink! You've made your very own Tubby Custard!

There should be enough Tubby custard to fill 3 or 4 bowls. Now all you need is a straw to drink your custard through!

ENJOY!

I was bored. So sue me.

Apparently not.

In terms of games that scare me... I don;t think i've ever been "scared" by a game. I've been shocked enough to make my heart beat faster, but never really scared.

......Wut?
My thoughts exactly.

As someone who's played both, you should be scared by Amnesia, and merely startled (if that) by Fallout 3. Sure there are a couple of creepies and monsters but you're lugging around a fucking arsenal on your back for effectively the entirety of the game. In Amnesia [insert Yahtzee quote], you know?

Once you actually encounter the 'scary' bits of Fallout 3, they startle, but beyond being grotesque, there's nothing much to them. Hell, one of the supermutants can be one of your companions, for crying out loud...

Fallout 3 is not scary, the only thing scary about Fallout 3 is the [censored for flamebait]

Yeah it might startle you at some points, but so does your friend coming up behind you and yelling into your ear when you're trying to sleep.

Can't say that any game really scares me at all, games either have an awesome creepy atmosphere (amnesia, thief, stalker) or they just throw cheap scares in your face (fear, dead space).

This, so much. Every time I encountered one of those, if they got too close to me, I would almost literally enter a pocket dimension inside the chair my head was pressing against. The little ones I didn't mind, the big ones though... *shudder*

The Dunwich Building is the only scary place in the game, and if you are smart and got the ghoul mask then its easy as mirelurk pie.
