Well then god forbid you play Old World Blues,it has not just robotic radscorpions, but giant robot Radscorpions and one HUGE ASS FUCKING ROBOT RADSCORPION AT THE END.
Thank goodness I sent the practice drones after it.
The robo-scorpions didn't bother me actually. They were angular and blocky... my fear of the actual radscorps comes from somewhere much more primal, all those pincers and teeth, ugh.

Oh,I was personally only really afraid of the killer flies, because y'know they killed me every two seconds but even then,I got the flamethrower and that problem was solved. But I can see the fear in Radscorpions, those fuckers got one hell of a bite.

While there are some legit scary parts to Fallout 3 (Dunwich and The Vaults) usually the fact you're carrying an arsenal and a half along with classic 40's music really takes away from the effect.

The Dunwich Building was....mindfucking....

I think my biggest fear came to either not expecting being punched in the back of the head by a Ghoul I didnt know was there

or

Vault 87 when you open a door and a laughing super mutant shoots you in the face....

I had a mild fear of Troggs in the darker areas of the Pitt...

Yeah it's not really a fear of them killing my character... that rarely happens when you've a handy Shishkebab on you -

It's more just the way they look and sound, it scares me in a different kind of way. Like pure primal fear of the scary monster with lots of sharp clicky limbs

It's not a scary game really, most of it has a dark humor to it.

Some moments in dark corridors it can get a bit unnerving. When your pip-boy says there's an enemy near by, but you can't quite see him. And then you sneak ever so slower, slowly edging round the corner. And when you finally pluck up the courage to look round, a ghoul is kneeling down eating a corpse of another fallen adventurer. He looks up, and you realize that it's too late to un-holster your weapon. You're screwed.

But yeah, other than that, ;D

The scariest thing about fallout 3 is that it's considered cannon.

I'm scared of your avatar.

Joking aside, I don't understand how someone can complete Amnesia then find Fallout 3 scary.

Fallout 3 was awesome.

Hmh... I know some people who are afraid of the Ghouls, but not scared in general. I found it more of a thrilling experience when you get chased by something large, say, Super Mutant Behemoth, if you run out of ammo and hide in a cramped alleyway, for example.

But scary?

Yeah, the atmosphere of F3 doesn't help the feeling of scaredness, especially when you can hear a ghoul/deathclaw/whatever but you have no idea where it is. Best advice I can give is to just stick with it and plough on. Oh, and to go to the Dunwich Building as well, full of kittens and rainbows, that is.
400 hours and I still have a hernia every time I see a Giant Radscorpion.
I almost had a heart attack when I walked in Camp Searchlight's firestation in Fallout: NV.

Just stay away from the Durnwich Building and you'll be fine.

Or better yet, get FNV. A lot sillier and less scary.

Um to be honest, I was scared at first, not in a OMG! way, just a "All this is unknown to me way and my guns skill is quite horrible" but as you progress and discover new places it gets quite amazing. So keep playing and you'll get over it.

Keep the radio on. That's all I can tell you. The only part that made me terrified was Tranquility Lane. Anyone who played it will agree. Keep the radio on, you'll be fine. That's when it becomes funny, blowing off a super mutant's head while listening to 1950's jazz.

First time I went in there I ran to the right in utter shock and got stuck in the Nuka Cola machine. That was not fun... luckily Boone is ridiculously OP so he killed... her.

Haha, I went in alone. I left my companions at the Lucky 38. When I went in I was like "HOLY SHIT!!!" and just went nuts with the Gauss Rifle until she was dead.
