TKJ is not a bad comic by any stretch of the imagination, and any opinions from anyone claiming it is can probably be safely and instantly disregarded.Samtemdo8 said:Batman The Killing Joke the movie failed and now suddenly the comic itself is now considered a bad comic (Its was my favorite Batman comic book)
But what about all the quotes that Alan Moore himself disowns the comic sayings its not his best work?Ogoid said:TKJ is not a bad comic by any stretch of the imagination, and any opinions from anyone claiming it is can probably be safely and instantly disregarded.Samtemdo8 said:Batman The Killing Joke the movie failed and now suddenly the comic itself is now considered a bad comic (Its was my favorite Batman comic book)
Me too, I am super jelly that I cannot play the game because my laptop isn't quite good enough. I'm stuck trying to get warhammer dark omen to work which is proving a hefty challengeHere Comes Tomorrow said:I thought Total War: Warhammer was really popular and everyone liked it? I mean its a strategy game, they're never going to make CoD numbers, I dunno what you were expecting.
Also, if AoS and the death of WHFB made you sad, look into Malifaux. It's not Fantasy by any means but the tone is very like Fantasy's weird dark humor and it plays a and feels like Mordheim.
Alan Moore is literally a crazy old man who hates his fans and hates comics. He's the Kurt Cobain of comic books, except without the elephant in the room.Samtemdo8 said:But what about all the quotes that Alan Moore himself disowns the comic sayings its not his best work?Ogoid said:TKJ is not a bad comic by any stretch of the imagination, and any opinions from anyone claiming it is can probably be safely and instantly disregarded.Samtemdo8 said:Batman The Killing Joke the movie failed and now suddenly the comic itself is now considered a bad comic (Its was my favorite Batman comic book)
I remember talking with a friend of mine and he said 'Bronies' refereed specifically to fans of MLP who masturbate to r34 pics. That it was a sexual group, not just a fan group.undeadsuitor said:SNIP
I can see that and people thought Frank Miller is crazy infact:Silentpony said:Alan Moore is literally a crazy old man who hates his fans and hates comics. I was just playing my Vampire Counts campaign. For real, the youtube Total War community loves this game it sold like hot cakes. Not sure what else there is to want out of this.bastardofmelbourne said:As for Total Warhammer...I'm still playing that game. I never stopped! It's the best Total War game ever, in my opinion. The only thing that troubles me is that Games Workshop apparently decided to set the franchise on fucking fire just before the game came out. That's just...that's bad business sense.
Wut. The dude lost it after 9/11 (huh, convenient timing) and started ranting about terrorism and occupy Wallstreet and all kinds of political nonsense.Samtemdo8 said:I can see that and people thought Frank Miller is crazy infact:
Frank Miller the person seems like a normal guy, Frank Miller the Writer is freakin insane.
According to my local GW manager, a 40k End Times is coming where they intend to simplify the rules AoS style.Addendum_Forthcoming said:SNIP
that rumour has been going about for sometime now and I can't see it happening myself.Silentpony said:According to my local GW manager, a 40k End Times is coming where they intend to simplify the rules AoS style.Addendum_Forthcoming said:SNIP
Comparing apples and bloody oranges here. Edgehog and whatever that take on Looney Tunes was were misguided attempts to make cutesy, colorful, cartoony characters more "radical" in order to pander to "kids nowadays"(tm). It felt stupid. It felt artificial. It made those shows look like this:Samtemdo8 said:And I dread that the new Adult Swim Samurai Jack is gonna be negatively received because of the new focus on being "Dark, Violent, and Brutal" basically Samurai Jack is gonna get Edgy. And I just know from many people that edgy means Bad. They hated it when Looney Tunes got edgy (Loonatics Unleashed), they hated it when Sonic got edgy (Shadow the Hedgehog) I just dread that the samething will happen to Jack. Also they said it was gonna come out this year, but so far only a few images so its most likely delayed to a later year so I get no Samurai Jack this year.
Heh, I really went and checkmated myself on that one, didn't I?Samtemdo8 said:But what about all the quotes that Alan Moore himself disowns the comic sayings its not his best work?
Old and crazy he most certainly is, but he doesn't hate his fans or comics as a medium; it's just the mainstream American comics industry he hates.Silentpony said:Alan Moore is literally a crazy old man who hates his fans and hates comics. Something is going to happen. They just launched a load of ads for an event centered around the 13th Black Crusade and it's veeeeery similar to the hype before The End Times. They won't destroy the universe but I can see them changing the ruleset to be more like AoS.carlsberg export said:that rumour has been going about for sometime now and I can't see it happening myself.Silentpony said:According to my local GW manager, a 40k End Times is coming where they intend to simplify the rules AoS style.Addendum_Forthcoming said:SNIP
What GW did to warhammer fantasy is really sad though.
That I did not care for at all.RebornKusabi said:Now Suicide Squad? THAT sucked.
Here's how I look at it. To me, being a fan of the show makes you...a fan of the show. A Brony would be someone who is a bit of a step beyond being just a fan of the show. For example, someone who talks about the show at random, or draws fanart of the show, or reviews the show episode by episode.Silentpony said:I remember talking with a friend of mine and he said 'Bronies' refereed specifically to fans of MLP who masturbate to r34 pics. And I have no idea if its true or not. I don't, but I'm a fan of the show. So..what does that make me?
