Likely Final Fantasy III for the SNES, since it was the first actual RPG I ever played after being allured by the cute little Moogle on the cover, which set me out on my own epic quest to play over a hundred games of that wonderful wonderful genre.
Everquest absolutely did spark my love for the MMO brand of RPG though..so many hours wasted only to go and waste more hours on another right after..
