I'm not normally a big animal rights protester, but I had this fowarded to me and nearly threw up in complete and utter revulsion. Don't watch this video if you get sick easily. Its a video on the chinese fur farms and the horrible things happening there. They have been skinning the animals alive, which they say is "for a better cut". I apologise deeply if this offends anyone but it really should, this has to be stopped. Im not asking for signatures or anything I just want to throw this out there.

I don't sign anything the PETA is for. Mainly because they kill animals, they were already charged and convicted in Virginia. And they - the PETA as a whole - actually defended those that did it.

Also that whole Thanksgiving thing and the turkey farms, better to keep those kinds of people in a place like that than in a park with children I always say. Besides, makes it easier knowing which one is likely to murder you in your sleep.

EDIT: Doesn't mean I'm not disgusted. I'm not surprised, but I am disgusted. However China isn't going to do anything about it, that's all the way over there and not in the confines of a place that'll actually punish them.

Fur, I don't like, but its 10 times worse when the animal was alive WHILST being skinned. I do like my meat, but I don't want it so the animal suffered on route or was still alive when I started munching.

Does the fact that they are a source of food or clothing for us make it okay to torture them? No. It should be done painlessly. We can justify killing them for food and the like, but they shouldn't have to suffer in the process.

What's even worse is the fact that they don't kill them, skin them alive and they stay alive for 15 minutes without skin. Disgusting!

Not surprised. I love animals so I'll save myself from watching that video. You can't do anything about it though and nothing ever WILL be done so best to just try and not think about it. Humans will be humans after all.

Humans are cruel, the sooner everyone realises it the sooner we can live more happily.

That animal was food, and frankly skinning it alive is better then being eaten alive, possible quicker. Also factor in the possible chemical protections, so as endorphis (or a equivalent) is being flooded, making it less painful or anything along those lines. It's a tough world, and the reason Humans are on top is because they are smart and cruel.

Now before someone doesn't extrapolate what I'm saying correctly and goes "*snurf snurf* omg d00d you support animal cruelty? like omg u doucher *snurf snurf*" I'd like to add that they were destined for death since birth, and although the way they die can be decided you also have to factor the OTHER possible deaths, and also remembering that the animals sole purpose is food, so if you do something to make the food "better" then surely it's worth it. Non food animals though (pets, strays, wild animals) if they are to die make it as humane as possible, Did yeah just shoot a animal? quickly run over and shoot it in the head to put it out of it's misery.

That's my opinion of course, but I'd like to know if the skinning of the animal actually does yield better results. If not then it should be ended. Also I'd like to know why they can't skin it after death? If of course there isn't one then I do not favour it. If so, then the process should be refined. Also keep in mind that my internet is reeeaaally slow today, so I'm guessing as to what it's gonna look like. Also PETA is hypocritcal and fucking retarded, I demand it's demise, or new leadership.

its sad when people claim to not care cause people are starving in some 3rd world farm country. we already got people working on that, and theres enough humans around to safely populate the moon and 1 other planet and still call overpopulation. we have a strange tendency to make animals go exticnt for no purpose. some kind of gazelle (i think) went extinct to make dog food... so, yeah.

and this doesnt mean i hate starving people. i just think we somehow evolved into genocidists, so karma continues to slap us for the poor dodo and other random animals that died. (plus, we probly could do a better job fixing SOME hunger issues.)
