The reason I posted this instead of something on starving kids or sex slaves is this is something that could easily be stopped, with pressure from the UN on China. Dying kids is an issue due to poverty and that is much harder to fix, not to mention that everyone is aware of starvation in Africa, whereas not many people are aware of this issue as far as I'm aware.

Does the fact that they are a source of food or clothing for us make it okay to torture them? No. It should be done painlessly. We can justify killing them for food and the like, but they shouldn't have to suffer in the process.

Perhaps if you took a step back and actually looked at things objectively, you'd make an incredible realization; sensationalist news ignores anything that contradicts their point.

Namely, the fact that human beings are the only animal that kills it's food before doing anything with it.

If a pack of coyotes killed those dogs, then they would likely live much longer while being eaten.

Not to say that they should be made to suffer, however we aren't the only animal who can be cruel.

That exact thought, almost word for word, has crossed my mind before, how animals always suffer when other animals eat them, since humans are indeed the only ones that kill before we eat. Here's the thing, though. WE'RE HUMANS. We are higher beings, we are better, and as such, we should act better. Unlike all those wild, mindless predators, who operate solely on the intentions of eating so as to stay alive, we humans have a sense of right and wrong, so we should do all we can to lessen or even eliminate the suffering of our prey. Deliberately doing things that cause suffering, whether with purpose or not, out of laziness and a lack of morality, is WRONG. Period. We have the ability to NOT torture animals, and we should exercise that beautiful gift.

This is the same reason I call bullshit on their seal hunt protest. Theres no cruel intention there, they're just clubbing them to death. Worse is done at factory farms. Also, since seal pelt is the goal, skinned alive makes no sense, its hard to get a nice clean cut if the thing is writhing in pain.

Many Wild Cats. (Break the neck and/or choke the animal to death)
Tons of Species of Snake. (Suffocate the animal or poison it to death)
Likely dozens if not hundreds or thousands of other species of predators. (All of which who tend to destroy the head of the animal first)

You know why they kill it before they eat it? Because dead animals tend to not escape.

Insects are about the only predators that seem to routinely eat things from the legs up, even bats eat things head first.

But who am I kidding. Not like we are trying to use the word Fact and actually be telling the truth right?

I like the Fox Newsy feel of saying Fact and then ignoring reality. Makes me feel manly and sexy.

It is true that in some cases when an animal is eating something it doesn't kill it. But generally that is rarely in the predators best interest.
