Getting placed as first trombone after a very nervous audition made me quite ecstatic. I wanted to be first trombone very badly, but before the audition I practiced the wrong piece most of the time. I was supposed to practice the music that they gave out, but the previous year, due to specific circumstances, I auditioned with a different piece anyway. I thought it was the same way. I was wrong. Nevertheless, I managed to get in as first, and run the trombone section like a beast.

I was quite happy after that.

That's grea to hear! Money makes the world go round.

As for me, well I'm only in high-school at the moment but in recent memory getting top in my maths class for the school certificate was pretty awesome...and I'm only in year nine (year ten is the year of the SC). Come to think of it just getting through all my end of year exams was a great load off my shoulders, I now have almost the entire holidays to look forward too with some final semester results I'm really proud of.

Oh, and I baked a batch of ginger bread men (technically bears since that was the best cutter we could find) with my mum today, that was nice.

Well, thats it. I did it! I FINALLY graduated from Business School! Oh its the greatest feeling in the world isn't it? That feeling of accomplishment, of pride.
That's why I'm curious as to moments where you, my fellow Escapists, have done something your proud of or have accomplished something. It could be anything. Getting that Trophy, reading War and Peace in one sitting whatever. If it made you feel proud, than say it loud!
Hey, congrats! In what field is your degree? What are your plans?

In answer to your question, I'll tell you next year when I finish business school. After that, I want to join the Navy as a Commissioned Officer.

When I get the news that my cancer is gone, you can bet your ass you will hear me screaming I DID IT from wherever you may be in the world. Followed by a large explosion of awesomeness.

As for other things that would have made me say that, finally learning to be a decent guitar player was one. It took so much work, but eventually it all just became easier and easier until playing the basic stuff was nothing to me.

Hmm this is difficult. The only thing that comes to mind is everytime I make a near-flawless mix (which I've done only 3 times or so) with my turntables.

Finishing uni and getting a degree, doing 3 years at college - nothing else compares to making a flawless DJ mix. It's that magical.

Rofl. ADOS. That needs to be an official diagnosis.
Another buddy of mine is a Psych major. I'll tell him to make this his top priority when he graduates.

I'm pretty sure I'll only end up failing one class this year, and I thought I was going to fail them all and have to drop out, so YEAH! Way to go, Quantum! I hope the tan comes along nicely.
