I'm still surprised by the lack of an anime/manga based on the life of Musashi Miyamoto. Yes, I know there are animes that feature characters based on him, or that mention him, and such. What I'm looking for is a more literal story based on his life. Think something along the lines of Kenshin.
For those wondering, Musashi was one of the greatest samurai to ever live. He was alleged to have fought over 60 duels, those it is believed to have been closer to 100, and never lost. He won his first duel at the age of 13. He was well known to have shown up late to most duels. He was known to be a rather accomplished writer and artist. And his most famous duel was won against Sasaki Kojirō on an island. He showed up late (of course), supposed used a wooden sword that he carved out of an oar on the way to the duel, and then escaped using the high tide and defending against attackers that supported Kojirō.
I ask: Why is there not an anime based on his life?
