Has anyone ever had that before, i know i certainly have. I was playing Hitman Blood money the other day (I love Hitman) and one weapon when fully upgraded looks looks like a mountainous turd, specifically the M4, the weapons was really powerful, silent, and a lot of other good things but it was ******* ugly and i could not bare to use it so i took all the upgrades off and played like that. I know its petty but i cannot look at and ugly _________ when i am playing a game.

Have you ever had something like that be it Pokemon/Guns/Armor Etc or is it just me?

Not a weapon, but the helmets and extra armors in Mass Effect 2. Lot's of great bonuses, but they always cover the face and it breaks the immersion in half.

That silly blue bubble capacitor (or whatever) helmet does some cool stuff, but I can't bear to look at it without bursting out laughing :p.

In Dragon Age: Origins I didn't like putting helmets on my non-heavy/massive armor people, simply because I didn't like the way they looked. Even if they did remove them for conversations, I just didn't like walking around in them.

Exactly. And it just get's funnier when you meet Liara while wearing it.

Oh dear god, I will never forget the time I somehow kissed Liara through my helmet. You'd think Bioware would add in an animation where I took my full-face helmet off, but no...

They irritate me too, and did do in KotOR and Dragon Age as well.

At least in Mass Effect they could create one where it slides back outside of combat sequences, so the amount of your face covered is minimal.

Hah, yeah. Do this in loads of games. Even if the armor totally sucks I use it because it looks totally awesome, Like in the Avatar game and most RPG's.

Same for Fallout 3 here, plus you run faster if you're wearing diapers instead of tesla armor. There's some modded trenchcoats that look awesome as hell (if a bit too clean for the wasteland).

But I'd kill for a beret. *sniff* I want New Vegas.

I remember playing through the entire campaign of Bad Company 2 with the Izhmash Abakan (though I think it was called something else) because I loved the two-round bursts.

Well, never because they're ugly, per se... but I will often eschew the use of weapons or armor in many games simply because they don't fit the theme of the character I created... especially the new Fallout games. My main characters tend not to wear armor, just merc outfits.

A lot of the Dragon Quest IX items look odd, espeically much of the clothing that I wouldn't put on my characters because it looked ridiculous.

I do this a lot in Fallen Earth, to the point that my character could probably wear twice as much armor as she actually does. Style before survival is my motto.

There isn't any point living if you can't look good doing it.
