His girlfriend and him got in a fight...
It was pretty harsh.. so he called her up 1 hr later... and killed himself with her on the phone...
my girlfriend calls me one hour later.. she is very sad.. not crying but.. thoes were both her friends.. the only thing I really want to ask is this.. why do people do this stuff? do they belive its the only solution? ... so what im asking escapist community is this, can you guys at least help me to understand why a kid with straight A's and a better family than mine killed himself? I would of killed to be in his positon... makes me wonder....

THEY ARE SUPER FUCKIN ATTENTION WHORES. Whoever this kid was must have know that the best way to make a headline, as well as leave a crazy impression on everyone he knows as well as permanently scar the girl(as she will think it was her fault) would be to off himself. So he did.

well im worried more about my girlfriend.. me my dad died when i was 6, i know how to handle it...but my girlfriend and who ever that guys girlfriend was is the ones that concern me...

I've been in a similar situation, when despair fucks with your mind. It honest to god SEEMS like there is no other option, and then you start thinking that the world will be better without yourself, e.t.c.

Shit likes that happens because they are put in a situation of mass emotion where there minds stop thinking logically and only see one solution.

A lot of suiciders only think about themselves, not stopping to think about the damage they'll do to their environment. Leaving behind greaving relatives and possibly scarring potential onlookers for life... and causing train delays

I really can't understand why people would willingly take their own life when their girlfriend dumps them/fights with them. If they are a teenager, I suspect there is an underlying problem, such as shockingly low self-esteem or crippling shyness that stops them from talking about it or seeing that there are more fish in the sea.

That or they are idiots with no consideration for everyone else. Friends and Familly will be deeply saddened and distressed for months/years to come. And the GF will be emotionaly scarred, likley unable to enter another relationship, and will likley be labeled as "the girl that made that bloke top himself".

I get like that occasionally and it's because all my friends/aquantences/girlfriend/etc seem to have abandoned you and just left you there. So yeah, he probably did think it would leave an impression, because thats the whole point of it. Suicides basically a huge "I'll show you!" how dedicated they were or how much something or someone meant. It's a means of trying to make people notice you. Unfortunately, many people that are suicidal (including me) hide that part of their lives and are pretty good at it so nobody realizes anything is wrong.

im terribly sorry you feel that way sometimes.. as someone who wants to be a counsler in his later years i am glad people like you truly explain the reasons of suicide
