Why isn't she doing the report herself? If there are no witnesses besides her and your friend, then she would be the only suitable to file it in my eyes.

Look, once again, does it truely sound like your friend would go and "force" your girlfriend, who he knows you've been dating for 8 months with, to cheat on you. If she is lying, she should crack soon. They can investigate and determine the truth based on forensic findings, so you'll find out soon enough.

Then again, if she is lying, then she could be charged with slandering or some other charge.

Alright heres some more Backround: My freind and my girlfreind used to go out about 2 years ago. When He broke up with her they stayed freinds and later he introduced me. We hit it off and we started dating. In the time I was dating her My freind had gotten and broken up with 3 girlfreinds. At the time I can speculate it happened (about 1-2 weeks ago) he was going out with this girl called Megan who said "its okay what you do to other women as long as you tell me" He didnt tell her about this. How I found out is that My freind (lets just call him Jake for sake of convienience) bragged about it to his freinds and one of them told me. I asked my GF if it was true and she said yes. I then left and confronted Jake who seemed to take it as a joke untill I punched him. Then My girlfreind yelled "stop!" and She pulled me away but I didnt talk to her. Later on she called me for the 20th time when I finally answered and she explained that he forced her to do it. It sounded geniune but my buddy who was over to help keep my mind off of it says shes lying. It sounded genuine and she told her freinds and they are reporting it.

I still think it smells fishy. As what others have said, force the issue of reporting that to the police. The results of that pressure will tell you who to believe.
