I fail to see how this is funny.

Portal. I'm sorry I don't care if the hipster insist it's pure gold, I found it's humour dry and boring. The game itself was fun but the weighted companion cube, all that shit regarding a cake being a lie and the machines failures at recreating human emotion weren't funny. They were just there.

DAMNIT!! I was gonna say Dane Cook and Atop the Fourth Wall but...

I guess I'm going to have to go with Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Superjail, basically any Williams Street cartoon with Robot Chicken being the exception.

Oh, and The Simpsons and the Oblongs. And the Cleveland Show.

EDIT: And Seinfeld... forgot about Seinfeld. How the hell did that show get so popular?!?!

Jeff Dunham, the Achmed the Dead Terrorist puppet guy
100,000,000 views on YouTube.

I shall list some of the things that he says that warranted immense laughs on his video (these only come from the first few minutes, for reasons that should be fairly clear):

Puppet being taken out of box
"good evening, infadel"
"what kind of terrorist are you?" "A terrifying terrorist"
"Not really scared" "Boo!... Scared now?" x 3
"Silence! I kill you!" His catchphrase, so x 1000
"But you're dead, you are all bone" "Its a fleshwound" My mum can reference Monty Python too, thank you

quote]

I agree entirely, i see NOTHING funny about the words "silence i kill you". Heres a joke from this show
"knock knock"
"whos there?"
"Its me, silence i kill you"
.... i almost killed my friend who found this funny, it just isnt in the lesat "SEETHS WITH RAGE".
I find VG cats moderately funny but i read them just to go "thats so true" or "thats kinda interesting" not because its laugh out loud funny. Cyanide and happyness makes me laugh havnt met someone who didnt like it, anyone out there? Family guy has its moments but any joke thats starts with "its just like the time..." makes me want to brake the writers face. I like the comedy to stick with the plot, not just be a load of disconnected flashbacks that are all interchangable.

The whole american pie series, and pretty much anything else that leverages the penis as comedic gold. Oh hey I mentioned something to do with penis, worship my hilarity. I guess its shockfactor for a few people? 30 rock is painfully unfunny. It doesn't help that they seem to try so hard just to fall flat. But at least its not chain genital humor jokes.
Hee hee, leverage. Immaturity aside, American pie or any of those parody movies (Date Movie etc) are not funny at all. I would have to say 30 rock used to be funny.

Larry the Cable Guy is not funny and neither is Carlos Mencia.

Ok honestly I didn't read through all of the 15 pages of this but I have to say that for me a big thing that influences the funny is who you are around. Maybe its because I'm this generation (generation z I think) but I love all kinds of humor. I think it depends heavily on how its done (I.E. randomly hitting someone on the head with a stick, meh) No funny is bad funny unless its abusive (physically or mentally)

...Wait there is an exception to all this, Game Dogs...

Have to say, I love the Abslom Daak avatar.
And here I thought no one would ever guess who it was - you win +9000 respect good sir!

It's sad fact that I've lost the original comic, and that the only pic I can find of him is from Wikipedia.
I happen to be a pretty big Doctor Who fan of the new and old stuff. That includes our friend Daak and his awesome chainsword.

I actually still have the graphic novel right here, had it since I was little.

Thanks for the respects point, shall spend them wisely.

Anything that has to do with, and I mean no offense here fellas, but "frat boy humor".

Seriously. Adam Sandler and his ilk? Not funny.

Superbad and other movies like that? Not funny.

I just don't get that low-brow "humor" I guess, I want something a bit more dark and/or intelligent. =/
Sorry if someone has already suggested this to you, but Aussie comedian/musician Tim Minchin has some very clever stuff: in particular, my favourites are Dark Side, Inflatable You, Rock and Roll Nerd and Ten Foot C**k and a few Hundred Virgins.

A lot of people have been picking on game dogs in this thread. I agree with them, however I also don't find any humor in Doraleus, Apocalypse Lane, or any other animated web series. They look terrible, the humor is barely smile-worthy, and everything has been done before a thousand times. If anyone knows of any good animated web series, I will be surprised. (Happy Harry doesn't count, it's not a series)

Everybody Loves Raymond

Oh my gosh. HOW IS THAT FUNNY?

Seriously, EVERY episode I've seen (and I've seen MANY) ends up with Ray and his stupid wife arguing over something incredibly trivial. And the audience is made to laugh at punchlines that are so unfunny it should be a crime to call them punchlines.

And who the hell dreams of starring in one of those type of sitcoms?

"olol I've always dreamed of starring in my own sitcom with a live audience and everything and now my dream has come true"
DURR.

While I obviously disagree with you, the only reason I'm even replying to you on this is because your post reminds me of how much I hate those fucking morons who keep re-uttering the lines "THE CAKE IS A LIE" etc all over the internet and in real life and so forth.

I mean, bloody hell, I like Portal and all, but those people just piss me off.

Idiot: "Durr the cake is a lie!"
Me: "Unoriginal twat."

EDIT: I just watched an episode of Game Dogs. The animation is sub-par and I did not once even smile. It's a pile of dog shit.

I also forgot to mention: Unskippable. I did not find the ones I watched to be funny at all. It's just a couple of guys sitting there in the background silently during a game's intro sequence, occasionally making snide comments into the mic. I'd make a joke about them spending their entire episodes jacking each other off, which would explain why they hardly talk in the first place, but I'm above that.
Unskippable is nowhere near unskippable. Pah.
