"Joke Videos" on Youtube. Let me explain, you search something say an episode of Family Guy or whatnot particularly a certain joke you remember being funny. Then click on the link and it loads but is something different like a RickRoll or distorted ambiguous image. Not funny and even more frustrating that they guy making it thinks he is funny.

Pretty much all American sitcoms (with a couple exceptions, Arrested Development and Northern Exposure for instance).

And as for parodies of other works of fiction. Personally, I think the only good parodies are ones that come from love of genre (Shaun of the Dead, Galaxy Quest), not from hipper-than-thou criticism (MadTV being the worst offender).

Sometimes, it's embarrassing to see what people will try to pass off as comedy. You see others laugh, but all you can do is sit there wondering to yourself, How is this funny? How does this elicit laughter? It worries you how some people will think certain material qualifies as humorous. Frightens you, perhaps. Or it just confuses you.

<color=blue>Have you ever come across something that others find hilarious, yet you yourself find humorless? If so, which ones strike you as the most confusing?

Atop the Fourth Wall has this effect on me. I just don't see how Linkara is considered funny. Perhaps I'm not familiar enough with comics to appreciate his style, but then again, it's not as though his schtick is made up of nothing but references to comics, like he's the Dennis Miller of graphic novels. His jokes just fall flat, pure and simple.

Another example is Game Dogs. Do I even need to elaborate?

EDIT:

Let's leave Dane Cook out of this. He's too obvious an answer.
I didn't like the most recent episode where he... you know... acted. I hated that.

I love most of his episodes, as it's usually just him reading a really bad comic and pointing out the dumber parts of it so we can have a laugh at the comic.

other then that, I, for some strange reason, LOVED the ending of the Cable episode, where he kills the Cable Linkara and takes his gun. Then looks at the camera with a huge stupid grin on his face and exclaims "Sweet! New Gun! *pumps the gun*"... For some reason, the concentrated stupid of that line (as I'm sure it was intended), was much too hilarious not to laugh.

I think it may just be personal taste. I don't care for most of the TGWTG people.. but I understand that they do have people that enjoy it.

Anything that has to do with, and I mean no offense here fellas, but "frat boy humor".

Seriously. Adam Sandler and his ilk? Not funny.

Superbad and other movies like that? Not funny.

I just don't get that low-brow "humor" I guess, I want something a bit more dark and/or intelligent. =/
This, a million times this.

Don't forget American Pie

My mate loves Harold and Kumar. He made me watch it. I thought it was shit. And I made it very obvious to him that I thought it was shit.

Most movies that try to pass for comedy lately. They rely on nothing but dick and fart jokes, they're pretty much all made with a specific formula and anything even remotely original doesn't do well because the previews aren't full of overused "comedians" and their tired ass "jokes".
Also, most sitcoms. I loathe canned laughter, it's like "Hey, we realize that you, as the audience, should know this is funny. But we assume that you don't, so you should laugh... Now!"
Though ridiculous movies, such as Black Dynamite, are fantastic.

A lot of Will Farrel Movies. There have been some good ones, but Tallidega Nights really... uhhgg. Also, Billy Madison, i have no idea why everybody seems to think it was funny. And i am sorry, but south park and family guy also have to go down here *braces himself for flaming* Then again, it is all personal choice, i am not saying any of this sucks, i am just saying that I don't like it.

That show The Big Bang Theory. Everyone I know loves it and thinks it's hilarious when it's just absolute shite. I even gave it a fair trial and sat through 2 full episodes, it just wasn't funny.
*nods*

How I Met Your Mother as well as Two and a Half men and pretty well any sitcom. I have realized that there are two types of comedy shows nowadays:

Relateable, lame sitcoms eg How I met Your Mother, Two and a Half Men, Big Bang Theory

Wacky, hilarious nonesense eg Arrested Development, Curb Your Enthusiasm, 30 Rock

I love me wacky humor! DANE COOK IS THE FUCKING WORST

Lenny Bruce

He is regarded as one of the greatest comedians of all-time, but he has rarely made me laugh.
