I finally figured out why I refuse to watch... that one show. You know the one. The girly one.

So... you refuse to watch it because some of the fans are jerks?

Wow, you must not watch or play anything if that's enough to make you flat-out refuse to give something a chance.
MLP has a much more "in the spotlight" fanbase. Yea, all shows and things have weird, annoying fans but, perhaps because this whole brony trend started on 4chan (the Mos Eisley of the internet), its annoying fans are much, MUCH more visible.

Anyway, I certainly never expected this many replies. I kind of figured this thread would die with only one or two "shut up about MLP" replies. I understand why some people think I'm being stupid, and some think I'm just being honest, but I'm a little confused by the couple of folks who seem to be almost offended by this topic. It's just a cartoon guys, nothing to get all athwack over. That's why I don't consider it to be worth the inconvenience of misconceptions.
My point is that missing out on something you might enjoy just because some people who enjoy it are annoying is stupid. The irritating nature of some of the fans has absolutely nothing to do with whether or not the show is any good. Nothing whatsoever. So why would you ignore something that could be genuinely good for a reason that has absolutely nothing to do with that thing itself? That's what I don't understand.

I watch and enjoy the show and thats good enough for me. Who cares about being labelled anything? I enjoy watching my little pony to cheer me up, the same as I enjoy "the fuzz" in saints row and using rocket launchers on litterers.

Take your entertainment as what it is, not as a culture. But I have to agree on one thing though, refusing anything at all whether its MLP or some movie / game based on the actions of some random people is pretty narrow minded ...

No one I know knows what a 'Brony' is, all they know is that I like the show. I like Die Hard, it's my favourite film, but just because you like something doesn't mean you outright obsess over it. Stop caring so much about what people think. Just because you like a show you aren't automatically a mega-fan.
