Earlier(like 2 hours or so) in my grandparent's/aunt's/cousin's hotel room, I watched most of the Dark Knight(I missed like the title being shown and a bit of the beginning). Usually when I try to watch it I always get stopped at where Batman attempts his takedown of the Chinese guy in Hong Kong and my attention gets taken away by other things, but I have now watched it fully.

Here is my reaction: HOLY MOTHER FUCKING HELL, THAT WAS SO TOTALLY AWESOME!!!!

I really loved it! And is it just me, or did anyone else want to see plans like the Joker's where it pushed average people to the breaking point(not like Saw) but on a much bigger or public scale?

*slow clap* Sorry that seemed approriate

I loved the Dark Knight because of the Joker and the things he did, really if it hadn't been for Heath Ledger I would've never watched it.

As far as the situation you describe, if in the right movie yes it works quite well.

Iron Man was better. There I said it. No I'm not a Tony Stark fan boy! Seriously though, one day me and a buddy of mine plan to watch the Dark Knight and Heat (Robert DeNiro and Al Pacino crime drama) back-to-back just to see how similar they are... I'm convinced they're the same movie.

I loved The Dark Knight.

Casting, script, everything - brilliant.

Heath, as it's been said again and again and again, completely dominated the screen.
I've not been that tense since No Country For Old Men.

I agree with this, Robert Downey jr. is the best choice for Tony Stark.[sub]although Thomas Jane as the Punisher was the best choice ever[/sub] I liked the Dark Knight though...it just needed more Harvey Two-Face

True. I also felt a disturbing lack of Harvey as Two-Face. It kind of felt like he was thrown in there at the end. Doesn't really do the character justice imo.

I didn't actually like the The Dark Knight all that much. I preferred Batman Begins quite a lot.

Batman Begins really dealt with the things that made Batman such a great character in the first place, while The Dark Knight kind of just stumbled around letting Batman look badass for two hours.

Also, I hated Rachel in The Dark Knight. 'Nuff said.

I'm with you on this one. I've said it before, and I'll say it again: The Dark Knight was about half an hour on the wrong side of uncomfortable, and besides Heath Ledger, the only actor who seemed to be doing more than just going through the motions was Gary Oldman (who was secretly the beating heart of the movie).

I also liked Iron Man better because... well, I think this quote sums it up nicely:

You know a superhero movie has done something right when you actually want to see more scenes of the guy out of his super suit
I found Tony Stark to be a far more dynamic and compelling character than Bruce Wayne, simple as that.

It was a great movie, but I preferred Batman Begins over it. Although The Dark Knight had a more stretched out story and Heath Ledger.

I'd heard a lot of the hype about the movie before it was shown in theatres, so I went in with a somewhat skeptical mind (as I've been let down by hype plenty of times). I was blown away. I didn't see Heath Ledger portraying the Joker... I saw the Joker. Somewhat different from the Jack Nicholson and Mark Hamill versions, but no less wicked and almost painfully enjoyable to watch.

A pity we lost Ledger. He could've done some amazing stuff over the years.

I agree. It's almost as if they went "oh shit! we need more time! we only go for an hour! lets put in Two-Face!" I'm still a firm believer that he should be the villian in a sequal.

I never really liked Christine Bale as Bruce Wayne and his guttural batman voice was ridiculous at times, but overall I enjoyed the dark knight.

There is no title at the beginning as far as I can remember, but I like it better that way.
And yes, it is also one of my favorite movies, topped only possibly by the Shawshank Redemption. God that was a great movie.

Too bad they killed him :(

To be completely honest its looks like they might go with the Riddler. If they did I hope to God they wouldn't cast Johnny Depp... he's so overrated and he would just play the same character he always plays.

I liked the movies (all Batman movies and yes even Batman and Robin) and Heath is good as the Joker but can not compare to Romero OR Hamill

I liked the Dark Knight but I don't honestly see so much why Heath Ledger gets so much praise for it.

It's not hard to be the loonatic bad guy.
