I hate that one. If they say "I couldn't care less" then they're doing it right. I don't get how people can possibly think they're grammatically correct in saying "I could care less".tellmeimaninja said:"I could care less" meaning "I don't care at all"
Well, if you could care less, that means that you do, in fact, care.
People who are ignorant with religion in general. I mean, I'm a (somewhat) devout Catholic, but some people are utterly stupid. I like to take the approach of the Bible verse, which goes something like "God has no hands but yours, no eyes but yours, no mouth but yours..." etc etc. Don't know the actual verse, but that's how I take it.chozo_hybrid said:This.CrashBang said:"The Lord works in mysterious ways" is a massive copout. If christians can't explain something then they just fall back on that
Or when someone thanks God for something that was done by a person. For example, the episode of Scrubs where Doctor Cox's sister prays with a family then the medicine finally starts working. Cox asks her to admit that medicine made the man better, she agrees then adds "Thank god for creating medicine." because you know, the hard work of people isn't really theirs, it's gods.
I've had people say that about a few things and it just annoys the hell outta me.
OP: Whenever people say "Everything happens for a reason". Assuming you're taking a non-literal interpretation of it, and tying it to fate and destiny and what not, it just pisses me off. In my eyes, destiny and fate are constructs of some form of divine being or come from some other spiritual basis. When completely atheist people say it, it just gets on my nerves so badly. I fail to see how someone could believe in fate or destiny without them coming from some greater place.
That was very convoluted, but I hope someone can understand what I mean/see where I'm coming from.
