As you've implied already owning multiple firearms you should try fixing it. It could pay off even better later if nothing else.

One other thing to consider is that restoring some antiques can significantly decrease the resale value. Step one with anything vintage is to get it professionally appraised by at least two different people.
Just something to think about.

I would restore it and keep it, money wont hold VS the sentimental value.
Don't spend a fortune on restoring though I would say.
