Hey folks!

Ever been afraid that someone might try to break into your house?
Well if you're afraid of robbery like me, then you most likely have some sort of weapontype oject near your bed.

My weapon is my crappy secondary putter that I no longer use in golf. It does me no good in golf, but I bet it would do good on a robber's skull.

My question is, what weapon, if any, do you keep near your bedside?

Hmmm...
Myself.
I'm a biological weapon that can utilise pretty much every object to kill things.
So, as long as I keep myself nearby, with a number of varied object (for example, this lava lamp), I'll be fine.

Does this count?

Edit: I'd like to add that I never intend to actually shoot anyone with this gun, or any for that matter. It is for the defense of my home, not to be used aggressively.

I don't keep anything by my bed for self defense, but my sister has a few knives in this glass Geisha statue that's hallow in the back just in case such a thing happens and they're necessary.

I have a butterfly knife but I live in such a nice neighborhood having to use it would probably shock me into paralysis. Since I have a baby and am planning on a few more I can't have any guns in the house that are assembled enough to be useful in an emergency (stocks and barrels locked in a cabinet, ammo and clips/bolts in a locked garage cabinet).

I keep my firearms in my bedroom, so all of them are around. I highly doubt anyone would ever break into my house, but I do have a Smith & Wesson .357 on the nightstand and a Mossberg 12 gauge shotgun beside the bed, those are the only two I keep loaded though. There's also the two machetes, but they're more for camping and hiking.

Tiger's wife preferred the nine iron to the putter.

I know where the sharp objects are in my house, but I don't carry a gun because honestly I don't trust myself enough to keep one around. On a bad night I might get some bad ideas about pointing it at myself and on a REALLY bad night I might get some ideas about pointing it at someone else.

I'm mostly mentally stable but I've been down some very unfortunate roads in my life and prefer not to venture anywhere near them again. But if someone broke into my house? They'd look like the people in the Wilson shed in Andale after I got the knives out.
