But I came on this thread to post, having my own reasons before, but looking through all this, most people's posts have turned into:
A)I am so ugly and boring and stupid and no body likes me, whaaaaa (cries)
B)Girls are so impossible to understand! It's as if they're speaking latin.[/i]

try a hell of a lot older. i'm talking the age range of 25+ and fyi i'm 24. teenagers in general are dumb and referring to a previous post i'm a bit of a fan girl, hence the twilight avatar. look at the photo in my profile.zombi2989 said:I can help you out here. Judging by your Twilight avatar I'm going to guess that your not much older than 16, though I could easily be wrong. So you're most likely talking about teenage boys, who are by their very definition, dumb.
wow, a twilight fan, eeewwwwaprilmarie said:try a hell of a lot older. i'm talking the age range of 25+ and fyi i'm 24. teenagers in general are dumb and referring to a previous post i'm a bit of a fan girl, hence the twilight avatar. look at the photo in my profile.
THIS! FRICKIN' THIS!Fraser.J.A said:Here's a scenario every guy knows:
Guy and girl know each other through work/uni/friends/Alcoholics Anonymous. They chat. Girl seems more interested in guy's conversations than most girls, looks at guy a little more often than most girls, asks guy more questions than most girls, smiles at guy a little more than most girls.
Guy thinks:
"Is girl attracted to me? I'm almost sure girl is attracted to me. Girl is totally into me. Unless girl was just interested in what we were talking about. Or girl is just polite. No, girl obviously likes me. Girl definitely likes me as a potential boyfriend. Or just a friend. Or an acquaintance. Or maybe girl smiles at everyone like that. Doesn't girl have a boyfriend?" Etc.

Ooh, secret lurv-handshake. I like this idea. Girls are too damn vague (apologies for the generalization, but to the girls: if you want us to pick up on you, you gotta be direct like a nuke to the face!)Aschenkatza said:I hate to disrupt your male psyche, but it's really us females fault >.>
We are so damn vague when it comes to showing attraction. We giggle and flutter out eye lashes and act all delicate... It's really disgusting when you think about it. God forbid we just freaking tell you -.-;
I suggest a universal sign of attraction!

I may be putting my head in the lion's mouth here, but it seems unreasonable to heap the blame on the women in the situation. I've seen far, far, more examples of men seeing a woman's friendliness or niceness as a sign of attraction, to which the general advice is "just go for it, what's the worst that can happen?" Now, perhaps a standardization of what actually indicates attraction would help, but even then hope will most often triumph over experience.Aschenkatza said:Women*Spleenbag said:Ooh, secret lurv-handshake.
