I highly doubt Skyward Sword is the "Best game ever made"

So far I've been hearing tons of high praise for Skyward sword, some people even going as far as calling it the best game ever made. And I'm a huge Zelda fan and have played all the games, but I really highly doubt that it's the best game ever made. Somewhere in my my mind I'm thinking Nintendo is paying for these reviews.

I really don't think Nintendo is paying for their reviews. Perhaps people just really love Zelda and have a vast fondness for the series.

I didn't think Fallout 3, Mass Effect 2, or KOTOR were the best games ever made either. But many consider them to be. Why? Well, because they, and I, have opinions of our own.

Maybe those reviewers just really, really liked it. You know, what with them being people like us and full of opinions of their own and whatnot.

Any game has the potential to be the best game ever made, but in the end, there can only be one.

Well I just don't like the Wii, I just bought one for Twilight Princess, in my opinion I didn't find that game good, so now that waste of money just sits in my cabinet.

I don't really think OoT was all that great. Well, it was decent but I don't think it was the incarnation of Christ that most people claim it is. No Zelda game, in my mind, can compare to Majora's Mask and, though I may be lynched for saying that, I know there are many out there who would agree with me.

What's kinda funny is that Nintendo tried really hard to put some novelty into Skyward Sword. My thing is, if you were trying so hard for novelty in the first place, why did you make it a Zelda game? I don't think anyone would've cared any less if we were playing as some other swordsman. After all, the Link's from game to game are only really nominally related anyway.

I totally understand you. I think the Wii has some decent games but, as a system, I do and always will hate its guts.

I hate when people say this game or the other is the best game of all time. It's like forgetting a whole history of epic games.

But i have to admit. Sometimes i see the Zelda games from another angle. Not the normal dungeon crawling type of game, but has a epic adventure, in wich you are able to find incredible things.

Legend of Link alone is not a good game, past these years it learned from mistakes of other games, and was perfected till was able to compete with every other major gaming. That's what makes good games, story and competition.

I'm not saying Skyward Sword will be the best thing since Dinossaurs, but i'm saying it will be a impressive and epic game, that i know many will love!!!

Also... Gorons... my favourite race in every single game, before Norns (elder scrolls) and Bangaas(Final Fantasy)!!

If it's a good game what does it matter what system it's on? Being on the Wii doesn't automatically mean it can't be a good game. Even if it does win game of the year, so what? It won't make Skyrim any worse, maybe it deserves it more? Who knows.

Nah, that'll be Arkham City (in my opinoin).

At the end of the day, I don't see why people give two hoots what is "offcially" crowned GOTY. So long as it's your GOTY, and you are the one enjoying it, it shouldn't matter.

Lots of people love Skyrim, lots of people love Zelda.

I personally love the Arkham games.

lol ive played it and it's fun

it may get bonus points for being one of the few games that are actually decent that have come out on the wii of late. It saddens me that there are so many wii games taht fall short, but games like Zelda give people renewed hope i guess
