Not personally, but a friend of mine was playing Super Mario World on his SNES for the first time after like 7 years, and he just couldn't manage to beat Bowser.
After what felt like 300 tries he launched his SNES right into his TV while flipping the desk over. 200? for the desk, 300 for the TV. That was one hell of an expensive boss fight.
LOL plus the added insult to injury that that is probably one of the easiest boss fights in history!

There are some awfully tricky bits in Super Mario World so it must have been so annoying to get through all those and get stuck on Bowser...
And he didn't even do that bad up until that point (I was watching), guess he just lost his focus or something.
The SNES is still working, too. Consoles must've been pretty sturdy back in the days.

Definately, my SNES was kicked around a lot and it still works perfectly, while I'm afraid to even pick up my 360 to bring it into the next room because it's so flimsy and makes creaky groaning noises when lifted up...

Ninja Gaiden, I lost to that ***** of a boss too many times. When the final 'game over' screen faded in, my Gamecube hit the wall.

Thank God the GC is near indestructible.

Little Big Planet has evoked much wrath within me.
Hah, I'm actually abnormally good at LBP.
Platformers in general actually.

ERR...
HL2: Deathmatch.
absolutely the most annoying thing is having hackers force you to participate in bullet hole buttrape.

I broke my Razer :(
It's not my platforming skills (I, like you, am pretty good at Platformers.) It's just the fact that the Jumping doesen't always respond for me (I seem to have an unresponsive X button.)
That's the problem with LBP, > 2 players, framerate killer.
(after 1 player, it begins to become nonresponsive.)
I always thought it was a problem with the controllers....

My little brother has broken countless controllers due to his frustration on DBZ games for the PS2.
The only times have dome something like that were: During the GLaDOs fight in Portal, i got the red rings, threw the controller out the open window and into the pool, pool part was accidental. The other was the gamecube version of Majora's Mask, i had gone through all of the water temple and i got to the boss door i had the key but it wouldn't open, there was a glitch in the game preventing me from opening that single door... I even whent to the stone temple everything worked fine, but the mother fucking water temple... I ended up having to start a new game.

No I'm a pretty mellowed out guy I tend to not let a GAME get to me.
Hey look it's mister "I'm better then all of you, i don't get angry when a game pisses me off! So instead of just saying that nice and respectfully or ignoring the thread I'm going to say it in the douchiest way possible!"

Most recently it was Ghostbusters that sent me into rage mode. I don't mind dying in a game but I DO mind sitting through a 20 second load screen every time I do. :(

Controller drops are common for me...my orange PS2 controller broke...it not only doesn't rumble anymore, the part you plug into the PS2 is split so the controller buttons don't work :S

Sir, if you don't have a story, there's no need to post. The Holier Than Thou act impresses none but yourself.

When I was much younger I broke a glass with a genesis controller, but nothing since.

And you acting like a prick does likewise.
I'm not trying to impress anyone my friend, just trying to keep useless posts out of the thread. I asked if anyone had stories, not if anyone would like to tell me how they don't get frustrated. Just trying to keep things on topic here

Wasn't from video games, but I once smashed a keyboard on the edge of the desk (the desk was unharmed, but the keyboard was in two pieces + several keys that were on the other side of the room).

Singleplayer can frustrate me, but I can never really blame anyone but myself so i trudge on through the mud, but if its multiplayer I can get really frustrated, ive never thrown anything or broken anything, but devious schemes always come to mind...

also on little big planet, I HATE the slap feature most of the time, its just annoying, and its almost never funny.

Got to agree with you on the LBP slap feature. It very much puts me off playing online. I've played so many levels where people are so intent on slapping the other players that we all end up dying and don't complete the level. They should add a Deathmatch mode or something.

God no they're just games.
Christ, I've bloody came across this mistake so many times today. I'm sorry.

From the above you can tell that I'm not a very relaxed person. So, yes. But it was a very long time ago. Now I just punch myself in the leg.

Not me, but I tend to stop playing the nanosecond that a game gets on my nerves, unless I'm feeling particularly anal. Actually, I'm a PC games and I've gotten plenty mad at my PC before, so I guess that counts. I think the closest thing I've gotten to breaking a controller is when I banged on my keyboard, but even then the space bar just got stuck and it was fine within the hour.

I've gone through three PS2 controllers and one original Xbox controller, then there was the time I snapped a WWE Smackdown disk for the PS2.
I can't remember anymore, but I had some serious anger issues back then [/understatement] lol.

I've injured people with my own hands but never taken it out against or with a controller.

Was walking down the street one day and suddenly had an xbox controller fly out an open window and shatter against a tree in front of me, followed by much screaming and profanity. Just kept on walking, laughing all the way.
