The movie was great. The main character and supporting actors were all played to perfection. I didn't like the Asian girl, but I think that was the point, really.

You interpreted it as...I think we're going to have to agree to disagree then.
When I really meant was, "While my opinion is on the opposite end of the spectrum, I respect your opinion in that the movie was not up to par. Quite frankly I am not up for any sort of debate, and would simply like to extend an olive branch and simply express that my feelings towards the movie are strongly positive. I do not wish to enter any debate because I really see no point in it. Furthermore I grow tired from a long day of pimping my wenches working.""YOU'RE WRONG BECAUSE I SAID SO"
I thought you already saw the movie, and I don't remember the topic being about people who have never seen it in the first place.and that really... wouldn't carry much weight with someone who hasn't seen the movie and was soliciting opinions.
That was me going off your reply and onto the topic. Albeit that was short, but that was not part of my playing cards. Could I have written more? Sure. Sorry I offended thee."I'd like to see a real band put together to do a cover of 'Sex Bob-Omb'.
Go ahead...Aside from that, I have only one question to level at you:
Ah, but that's were you're wrong. Young Neil played Legend of Zelda twice on his DS. Furthermore Scott and Knives were playing a fictional game called "Ninja Ninja Revolution". I could also go into the video game, comic book, and anime paraphanelia... parapalegic... paraphernalia spotted throughout the movie, but I'll fold on that. In the end they don't give me much of a leg to stand on and it would really be a matter of opinion - which would mean we'd have to agree to disagree about that now won't we?while you mention that it only defines a small part of geek culture, which part would that be? In the movie, they didn't play video games at all,
So I guess this is where I'm going to have to show my cards then and saydon't make 'Scott Pilgrim' out to be some anthemic movie of geek culture when it would be more honest to say that it was a cash-in on the rising popularity of geek culture.
what? nothing about putting subliminal messages into the movie to use it to brainwash many many geeks into becoming your minions and to take over America? and then the rest of the world?Necromancer Jim said:Yes.
It was a good movie. I don't really have anything else to say.
Nah, man. I like the idea behind it, but I just found it too silly to even consider a lot of it funny or even entertaining. Just like Scrubs and Big Bang Theory, a lot of humour is just really stupid. It's kinda aiming to get shock laughs like for swearing or showing up naked at an inappropriate time, it's nothing clever at all.tthor said:I think the big thing that polarizes people on whether they LOVE or HATE Scott Pilgrim is the style it's done in. if you like the style, you will love the film, if you don't like the style, you will hate the film; there is no inbetween
Hahahah, yeah...that was some funny stuff. I'm ashamed to say it isnt in my collection yet. Going to remedy that when I get home.Sonicron said:"... Chicken isn't vegan?"Monty McDougal said:And the vegan super powers were hilarious.
Priceless. xD
It's true, they sort of glaze over everyone buy Scott and the Ex's in the film. Like I mentioned above, WAY more character development in the books. Suggest both to be enjoyed in their own ways.sravankb said:I would have enjoyed it a hell of a lot more if there was some substance behind Ramona's character. She's a pretty girl, but that's it. There was absolutely nothing else remotely interesting about her.
