Did that gravity ninja happen to reveale his life story even tho' we'll never see him again in the show? Did this ONE battle take over three episodes? Did Naruto give his speech about how he never gives up? I think we all know the answer....

I think you all say it because you think you are superior because you know Japanese.

i dont know japanese and i still think anime is better in the original language with subtitles. i think the same about any foreign language media. the voice acting is usually better in the japanese versions, probably because they make more money in japan or maybe because its just more a part of their culture. also dont call us weeaboo.

Not to be mean, but I would suggest asking this question on a more anime oriented site.

Also, to quickly answer your question, hell, its an anime!

I am sorry if this offends you but, and I really don't wanna speak for everyone at the escapist, but I don't think a lot of people like Naruto.

BELIEVE IT!
Because they watched the stupid English dub?

I can't control how they make the stupid anime...
just speaking for the anime, but shippuden was an epic disappointment for me after sitting through months of shit-tastic filler in naruto classic (for lack of a better term). i was promised shippuden would start with kakashi gaiden and when it didnt i was already going to stop watching it. but the animation seemed to have a huge drop in quality as well, not to mention that the series is older than the earth itself. i sat through 20 episodes of shippuden before bidding naruto a well deserved good-bye and have never looked back. incidentally, here is a good site for streaming anime if your interested http://www.animecrazy.net/
There aren't fillers in the manga, as that wouldn't make sense.

I gave up on the anime when the fillers had them doing the same things every time. Just read the manga.

It wasn't the anime!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The ninja was Pain, the leader of one of the major terrorist groups in the MANGA.

Naruto actually debated philosophy with Pain. If you just watch the American Anime aimed for children you'll miss how wonderful Naruto is.
Well, since I hate it when people are presumptuous about anime, I'll try the manga. I hope It's not as terrible as the show.
Ah, very good!

My friends and I enjoy it. I can assure you it is much better than the anime.

Tell me what you think of it after you read a few chapters.

The Raikage doesn't know what Naruto just did, he's not been in Konoha recently.
The villagers told his body guards, and his body guards were supposed to tell him everything about Sasuke and the Leaf Village.

I may not give two shits and a stick about the series, but I do care for others not being judged for their opinions.

Besides, it has been proven in countless cases that english dub actors lack the zeal of their japanes counterparts. The only exception to this that I have seen (and I have preached this many times before) is The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, but that is is only beacuse they got good actors to play the parts.

It's hard to know exactly WHO Naruto is.
Explain? His body guards knew his name, and they recognized him. The villagers certainly knew his name.

Is this "Raikage" classed as a good or bad guy? If they're bad, then that's just probably usual bad guy foolery, trying to lower the hero's self-esteem.
If they're good then... maybe they're a little on the dim side?
The Raikage is the leader of the land of... I forget.
He said he sucks at being a ninja because of his feelings toward revenge and his love for his friend sasuke, not because he can't fight.

Can anyone explain this to me? I'm assuming Pain was much stronger than Sasuke, and Sasuke beat the Raikage's brother, and Naruto beat Pain, so I'm assuming Naruto is at least as strong as the Raikage.
If you were Raikage, you wouldn't think Naruto could beat you either.
Also why would bumblebee be stronger than him?
Pain and Sasuke never fight so you don't know who is stronger.

dude, i said i was only talking about the anime. i did read the manga for a bit, but after a while it started to seem like a chore. just personal preference, but i hate it when anime go on forever like this. i prefer it when it runs for a season or two and then comes to a conclusive ending. also none of the naruto characters really endeared themselves to me, they were just a bit too stock and lacking in dimension.

I will say the manga for anything is nearly always better than the retarded animes, even if only because you avoid useless filler (TWO YEARS WORTH!?) or especially ones that are translated into english because they generally target 5-year-olds that are like ZOMG NINJAS :O :O :O (The few that I have seen that haven't are like Bleach, FMA, and Death Note...)

The naruto manga IS better than the anime because it gets through stuff so much quicker (DBZ anyone?) but it's not some great holy book like OP makes it out to be.

You just hit the nail on the head. Replace 3 episodes with more like 8 chapters and you have a deal breaker.

I want this series to be done with already. I'm only reading to see how it ends.

THERE ARE SERIOUS SPOILERS HERE. IF YOU HAVE ANY INTEREST IN NARUTO AND HAVE NOT BEEN UP TO DATE ON THE MANGA IT WILL BE RUINED. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

I just caught up on the manga and have been confused. Naruto has just beaten someone who has controlled gravity and then convinced his true form to bring everyone in the village back to live, and than the Raikage says something along the lines of "You suck at being a ninja!"

Ummmmm... WHAT THE HELL?!

Can anyone explain this to me? I'm assuming Pain was much stronger than Sasuke, and Sasuke beat the Raikage's brother, and Naruto beat Pain, so I'm assuming Naruto is at least as strong as the Raikage.
It was all because Naruto was begging for forgiveness for his friend (Sasuke). It has nothing to do with skills. Pretty much he was saying that a Ninja should look out for #1. That was all that was about
The Raikage was just acting like Pain, only stupider! Naruto had just finished convincing Pain that blowing everyone up so people feel pain and stop fighting is a bad idea. It seems like the Raikage should have been at least a little less... stubborn than Pain, considering Pain was crazy because of the loss of his loved ones.
That is exactly how you should feel. You are playing into the emotions of the series. Don't worry, we all are as well. I will say this: Was Pain really that crazy? Sure the ends did not justify the means, but they did make sense.
