Today I got the red rings of death, I don't want too send my console away for 3 months, and I want to know if there is any solution to this problem (temporary or permanent)

Any help would be appreciated.

Sacrifice a goat to Odin. He might help you.

Make sure you put newspaper down first though. Goats blood is impossible to get out of the carpet.

No. Sadly. Bad luck. But good luck with the replacement process.

I want that luck back when I send mine in, when it inevitably happens.

Youtube has tons of videos on this, but all of them will most likely destroy the warranty or just be a temporary fix.

I always buy the store's warranty. It sucks paying extra but since I'm on my 6th 360 it's paid off in the long run. I guess.

If ever meet the guy who decided to ship the 360 with a near 100% failure rate, I will choke him.

I got my console back in 7 days.
It won't take 3 months.

Just send it away and don't void your warranty.

There is, all you have to do is fix the heat sync. But I'd send it in, taking it apart voids the warranty.

My 360 had that happen 3 or 4 times, just turned it off and on and it was fine. Also, 3 months? My 360 had a problem (not RROD) but I got a new one from them within a week.

If the warantee has already been voided try opening it up and tightening all the screws on the inside. Often that's the problem.

I'm not sure about the errror code. how much will it cost if the warranty ran out, mine was only good for a year.

a few things

1.google the error see what the problem is. and make sure everything is attached and then restart. (restart the cure all for microsoft)

2.send it to Microsoft

3.if your good with computers and want to take the risk try and fix it your self.

ps what is the error number by the way?

Try re-attaching the hard drive and making sure the console has enough airflow. Make sure the power brick has enough space to breathe, check for any faulty equipment/cables etc:

Your 6th 360!? O_O Wow, that's odd because I still have my first one and it works like a dream except for the occasional "Disk is Unreadable" notice.

The days of 3 month waits are done, it took a total of 8 days for me to get my system back. I sent it out on a Monday, had it back the next Tuesday.
