Great song. There's no greater agony in life than the decision of which seat to sit in when you get in a car, and I'm glad that an artist has finally come along who is brave enough to explore those feelings. I'm also sick of not knowing what day comes before Friday, so it's good that she covers that.

Also: best rap interlude ever. I like it when you can really see the self hatred in the rapper's eyes.

Not as bad as 'telephone' by Lady Gaga and Beyonce anyway.

...I feel raped, Kevin. I feel physically, actually raped by that song and it's awfulness. It has no possible redeeming value and my appreciation for music as a form of entertainment has dropped significantly as a result of having listened to it.

You don't mention why you think it's so awful. I'm not saying it isn't deficient in certain areas to my mind, to whit:

Things about songs I like that this song does not have:
Evocative or meaningful lyrics
Changes in pace and rhythm, pauses
A vocalist with range (this singer seems a bit nasal and low to my ear - a register she seems uncomfortable with - I note that very late on in the video there is some higher register backing vocals which were the best bits of the singing - although that might be an illusion)
Varied instrumentation played with skill.
A melody that makes my hair stand on end or that stays with me.
Lyrics that avoid forcing rhymes or rhythm by repeating words.
Good grammar, vocabulary - interesting similes or metaphors - a good story

Of course, there are exceptions to each of these rules above - so I am not consistent. However it's probably fair to say that the more of these features the song does not have, the poorer it will be received.

This song was poorly received.

It makes me wonder whether anything of good quality can come out of a 'music factory'. On this evidence, I prefer my music live and free range.
