Kesha is, however, definitely the queen of the bogan club scene.

This is the absolute truth. I went to the Future Music Festival (which I think is a misnomer because there were no chiptune artists, but anyway...) yesterday and actually saw Kesha (from about 100m away - she's NOT who I went there to see!) and while her songs make my head hurt from her bland glorification of anti-social, immoral and disgusting behaviour... she (or her producers) can really put on a show. And the skanks and bogans that were the majority in attendance were certainly lapping it up.

Oh c'mon, as soulless and trashy as kesha is, it at least sounds like it has a producer (perhaps comatose, but at least considered). In some way, I would even go so far as to say I understand what people like about kesha, the vocal work is often less shit than that of other pop "singers", and clearly anything less shit than "consistently makes my ears bleed" is genius[footnote]Provided you've not heard anything better[/footnote]

That Friday song sounds as though it were produced by a particularly jealous deaf person, who could sort of understand what makes good music on paper, and in some act of spite decided to create the exact opposite...Fuck, I was going to mention that nothing can be worse than that rhianna trash, but now I just don't know....

Indeed. Shitty songs can be accepted by the masses if they're performed and produced well. Just throw in a catchy beat to get the crowd moving, create a "party" atmosphere, and nobody cares what the lyrics are.

Speaking of which, I feel sorry for Miley Cyrus. If she hadn't been bought out by Disney (and who can blame her, they certainly know how to get their performers money and fame), she probably would have been well on her way to being one of the better singers out there by now. Someone with her talent shouldn't have to put up with the image issues and crappy songs that working with Disney always dooms a person to.

That actually was pretty good, and it took me a while to figure out that was Sonny from FFTL. But Breathe Carolina makes me wanna sing and actually dance (and I do not dance!).
