Eh they make some good points but they keep going back to insulting the entire Escapist community by calling us a bunch of retard teens and manchildren. It's an article meant to insult the Escapist, not give an actually fair and unbiased review of the site.

Edit: Oh and I'm sure they'll have fun with this thread.

While I dislike it that people are hating on The Escapist, people will hat about anything, so it doesn't bother me too much. It WILL become a problem the second they start hating on Extra Credits. Honestly people, what is there to hate on in EC? They are helping the gaming community by giving their ways of making games better to the community so that they may be implemented to further progress the medium. What can be said that's bad about that.

"In addition, the amount of buffered video is not displayed"

DAMN! Those guys are so right! I'm leaving here forever... CURSE YOU AND YOUR NOT-SHOWING-ME-EXACTLY-HOW-MUCH-OF-THE-VIDEO-IS-LOADED,-BECAUSE-THAT'S-SO-IMPORTANT-TO-ME-EDNESS

but seriously, who really cares... besides, I don't really have a problem with being called elitist... it means we're better than they are (shhhh)

Okay they just called me an "Eurofag". Not cool man, not cool. I have a lot of really nasty shit I would like to say but I can control my anger for now........

I'm planning on ignoring this site for obvious reasons. Obviously there isn't any truth in those articles but it still kinda irritates me.

They hate on it, although I'm not sure entirely what they mean. They're kind of implying reluctance(?).

I saw on facebook extra credits was arguing with someone who was hating on them.

Any form of ED ripoff is going to be a load of crap. Because people who rip off things people have already made aren't funny. All that needs to be done here is laugh at how much of a social outcast the maker of this website probably is, then carry on with our lives.

Interestingly enough, I found myself laughing at the articles on the Escapist forums and MovieBob, and getting angry over the Noah Antwiler article.

Good thing everything on the internet is safe for everybody and everything and is built to help us have better self esteem and to be kind to one another...

The people there are just trying to be funny, let them have their go at them, we can't possibly ban them from the internet for having an opinion.

YES WE KNOW THIS WIKI IS AN ED RIPOFF

We're workin' on it.

Pages that are fix'd:

Noah Antwiler
Gaming in the Clinton Years

If you are here because you were egosurfing or looking for negative opinion of your online messiah, then bear in mind that this wiki is undergoing a painfully slow, but sure revamp in article quality. Please bear this in mind before you open a topic in your sycophantic community forum speculating on any jealousy, cuntishness or trollishness we may or may not have. Yes, we saw that. You know who you are.
OH DEAR GOD THEY ARE AMONG US! THEY KNOW WHO YOU ARE!!! MY JESUS CHRIST!!

what? they seriously think thats new?? hahaha, anyway, i dont really care about people whining on the Internet, its actually quite funny, its like the blog of "Salomon" where he wrote spiteful reviews of webcomics and people went there to complain, i dont see either the interest of the article or its relevance, just find it funny that people rage over such things

bottom line, who cares!?

I just read it. The website is supposed to be hating on everything known to man, woman, god, or otherwise. However, I couldn't really find much negative about what they said besides that EC is running out of ideas and did a copy/paste of one episode from an episode that was made on youtube. They also said that it sounds like Alvin and the Chipmunks. I don't think that there is much more to say about EC as it seemed like they struggled to get that much. They may bring up Allison's surgery and how they asked the community to help in the future. At the top of the page it also says "This article kisses Extra Credits's ass. Read the Editing Guidelines to find out how you can remove this article from the stinky depths." so I guess that means it's incomplete?

After reading the other site, they are actually pretty right, they know about the problems with the community and the site. However all the good things on the escapist outweighs the bad.

A quote taken from the website:
It grown when the fans of Yahtzee followed him there and started bitching about 'the friend zone' and why no girls like them.

It grown...

It's funny because the writers try to throw out as many big, fancy words as possible (while never actually supporting their claims with a relevant link), yet they don't know the past tense of grow.

Still, this does bring up how bothering it is to these forums in such a bad state, and it's times like this I wish a majority of the high-post didn't decide to leave or get banned...

You lost faith in the internet because some people said some mean things about some guy you like? that sounds like an overreaction

I think there's a good deal of truth in a lot of them.
The newest video ads before captchas makes me rage.

However, in the end, I like these forums because they are heavily moderated. On GameTrailers if you say you're a PC gamer you just get called crude names for no reason and no one is punished.
