Okay, as much as it can sometimes feel sexist or demeaning or just plain weird, the 'ideal' woman is something that many many men and some women think about, a lot. It's only natural that it would come up in off-topic discussions fairly often.

I'm a very curious kind of person, so I often take a look through, and sometimes comment on these threads because I think it's interesting to see what people think, what people like.. Sometimes it can be an interesting look into the human psyche.
I don't having any issue with it to be honest, if it's on peoples minds, then it should be discussed. Although I know, nothing usually comes of it but the occasional offense being taken.

On a serious note though I agree. I see it as an extension of the general male-gossip thing of "I'd hit that." and the like, in Forum format. It can on occasion turn into something both intellectually stimulating and hilarious to boot, but often not. Advertising what you like on internet forums can do well, I suppose. If you meet someone worthwhile who works for you and is willing to make sacrifices, that sort of thing. Otherwise it's no different from hanging around a bar going "Look at the jugs on THAT one!"

the thing is it's not just males that do this, women do the exact same thing, if you say women don't then i'll show you a bunch of teen age boys that don't masturbate. it's not just a male thing it's a human thing in general.

the issue is that women aren't really as vocal about it, much like any sex thing.

Personally I like girls who look like a mix of being cute, but sexy. Like, they're cute and small but you know not to cross them. A bit like a cat (don't you make any comment, NewClassic...). My ideal girl is basically catlike, but with long red (or possibly dark brown) hair, who gives out an air of mystery. I'm a bit of a romantic but I like a girl to show there's a kind of sexual tension in the air, not to be pervy, but to give out an air of confidence and innocence with a hint of mystery, sexiness and sensuousness. Plus they need to be intelligent, someone I can have a proper discussion with and who is on the same wavelength as me, and also quirky and funny, sort of like a human version of the TV show Pushing Daisies.

It's actually ironic that a girl who fits this description happens to live in the flat 4 floors below me and we are quite good friends, yet I don't actually fancy her...

Actually, I post whatever my actual opinion is on both topics, whether it be the same or different. However, I don't see how liking catlike red-haired girls can be related to Halo 3, unless that is the appearance of one of the ODST's who you fight alongside. Or a Grunt, which would be very disturbing.
