Americans: I'm puzzled. Hershey's bars are so icky, but Hershey's Bliss chocolates are like small pieces of the stairway to Heaven.
Why?! It makes no sense to me! They're made in the same place, they should both be tasty! Explain this madness!
Tradition, mostly. See, around the turn of the 20th century, milk chocolate became really popular, but the Swiss were staying tight-lipped about the recipe. There was a rush to reproduce the recipe, and when the Hershey company found something palatable, they said "close enough", and started production. It wasn't anywhere near as sweet, but the average American consumer didn't know any better, and "made in America" still meant something, so it took off.
On the other hand, the Hershey company was initially a caramel company, so it figures they'd know how to do that right. So you've got something fantastic wrapped in something mediocre.
Remember when the History Channel still talked about interesting stuff like this, instead of the umpteenth WWII+Aliens show?
OT: The supermarkets seem to think that Halloween is right around the corner, so I believe that "This Video" is apt for this conversation.
I fall under the Fruits/Sours affinity profile, with a preference for things like Smarties (the American kind), Bottlecaps, etc. basically, the ones which are >=98% sugar. I may or may not have diabetes lurking in my future.

What a dangerous thread to be in when one is hungry. I didn't think I'd need a bucket list for confections before now...

First of all: Milky Way. Specifically:
Ugh, I love cream and chocolate. But too much turns me off, like a Cadbury Egg.

Second, Toblerone. Duh.

Third, any dark chocolate. Just in my mouth. I love how strong it is! It's a good thing most dark chocolate is so expensive (or the GOOD chocolate is, at any rate), or else I would be brooooke and less healthy.

Orange chocolate is always on my radar, as is truffle chocolate.

Now that I've lost count, how about I just add chocolate-coated cherries. Even the bargain-priced candies taste delicious for some reason...

Jelly beans are always a hit, though. I often eat them until I'm sick, which is why I have to buy smaller bags now...

I don't care about the flavors; I love all of them. Yes, even popcorn and cinnamon.
And any picture of a fluffy Musketeers Bar bears repeating:

Matter of fact, I coulda just saved time and space by saying "anything but peanut-butter mixes."

Gotta go with my main chocolate fav of all time:

Fun Fact: I consume almost two month's worth of Snikers bars a year... ant that [mostly] includes the kind in the spoiler tag in some way, shape, or form...

Oh? That's kinda interesting. I remember that the Hershey's bar I had tasted a bit like vomit. Maybe it was just a bad chocolate bar, but if they sour their milk, it actually explains a lot.

I'll have to say, though: They also make amazing chocolate syrup.

OT: I just remembered another one I like.

I'm rather partial to hard candies. I remember one of my favorites from when I was a kid: A semi-hard toffee ball with a swirly pattern. I can't find a picture of the things, though.

Another candy we have that I really like are called "snowballs". They're a toffee ball with some kind of white exterior, probably some kind of sugar.

And, eh...

I like white chocolate more than I'd like to admit.

Aside from the sweet things, though, I love chili puffs. Really.

I tried Turkish ice cream once. It was all strange and whippy, but nice - like something between frozen yoghurt and regular ice cream. I shoulda had the strawberry flavour...

I wish I could get those Air Heads bars here; those were great.

Actually, I've kinda been craving some celery sticks dipped in cottage cheese. Those are absolutely heavenly sometimes when you're watching a film.

Kit kats. I know they're cheap chocolates but I ate alot of them as a kid and the taste got associated with childhood nostalgia in the deep recesses of my primate brain.

For me it has to be 85% (or stronger) dark chocolate, it also has the benefit that I am the only person in my house that will eat it. Here are my favourites:

I don't like milk chocolate or white chocolate as I just find them far too sweet for me. Dark is the only way to go!

I also adore greek yogurt with blueberries and raspberries stirred in.

Mmmm.
OP those sound really good! Certainly something I'd like.
I'm not a very big chocolate fan, but I love nuts and fruity tasting things.
Peanuts and Carmel are pretty much all I need.

I like the candy-covered goodness of Boston Baked Beans, they got peanuts inside of them.

Jujubes (American) are my one of my weaknesses. I love all the flavors, but especially lavender.

Ginger Chews are some of my favorites when I can get them. I love the spicy-ness, and mango flavor is my favorite.

And finally, I will eat a whole bag of these in one sitting if I'm not careful. Seriously.

I'm a big fan of nearly anything made with molasses. Molasses chews and cake, mostly cookies. I bake with molasses once a week for guests, as gifts, and to have around the house. I also put molasses in my coffee, talk about gooooooooood.

I order them online sadly.
Amazon is your best bet, and you don't have to buy the one pound bags, but sometimes I do on occasion.

Chimes is my favorite brand. But there is also Reed's and GinGins, though they are a bit milder.
Assuming you live in the US:
You can find GinGins brand in Whole Foods and Reed's brand (and their soda) in Giant (Eagles) Market District stores.
If you are really lucky, and live in the north east, the retailer T.J.maxx sells them every once in awhile.

Awesome! Thank you so much for introducing me to these!
