Opeth isn't that great to me, some Cynic and old school Suffo make Opeth seem bland IMO...

Sorry, my opinions are sounding rather rude... Opeth has a large fan base for good reasons, I just like other things better.

OT: You should know someone who likes teen pop idols will most likely not like death (even if it's the best album ever, Spiritual Healing).

Why did you think she would like it?

EDIT: Theres one album by Brutality that I still think is better than most metal, even if the lead guitar does crazy stupid drops throughout the whole album!
Funny, my favorite Death album is The Sound of Perseverance.

"She doesn't like metal, therefore she's an idiot. My opinion is clearly better than hers."

Metalheads piss me off. It's a very hit or miss genre. Some of my friends love it, I can't stand listening to most of it.

And guys? Get over Justin Bieber. Nobody gives a fuck, and it's not edgy or cool to hate him. It's cliche and boring.

Shit, now I can't remember if I liked Human better than Spiritual Healing.... grrrr.... I need to research my past more. I can't remember which of the two albums I adore?!?!?!?!?!?!

I suck.

Either way, when Richard Christie joined (The Sound of Perseverance), I was kinda done with the new songs. I love the guy, and he's an amazing drummer, and fucking great on the Howard Stern show, but I think the band 'Jumped the Shark' after that.

EDIT: I think I grew into math metal (MESHUGGAH) soon after....

I never actually listened to Meshuggah before, but I hear good things. The only real math metal I listen to is The Dillinger Escape Plan, who I think is one of the most amazing bands ever.

I'm sick of people like you. So what if they like Justin Bieber? I'm not a fan but everyone has there own tastes. I like Nickelback and Fallout Boy...But I also like AC/DC, Linkin Park and other bands.

Your misspelling of "site" has made me lose faith in humanity.
Your comic remark made me regain faith in humanity.

Also Bieber is the worst thing that came out of Canada and your friend deserves a slap in the face for being an idiot and not seeing what that screechy voiced kid really is (a cash cow for some businessmen that have lost the ability to emote and the need to eat because they run on money). Could it be that this friend of your secretly wants to fuck him?

Disclaimer: Not trying to offend, this is my opinion and even though I don't believe anyone on this site likes this particular artist, but just in case: He doesn't need defending, he has bodyguards for that and seeing that he is more rich than many of us will ever be, I'd say he doesn't give two fucks about what some bloke on the internet says about him.

Hey I listen to everything too, even though I hate Nickelback I like two of their songs and Fall Out Boy has a few good songs too.

Realize that other people have opinions that are just as valid as yours and stop being such a self-centered little shit. Incidentally, this realization will cure you of faith in humanity, assuming you don't believe in any magical fairies.

Congratulations, somebody likes different music to you. Why did you make a thread on here about it? Is it that worrying? These threads really make me lose my faith in humanity, absolutely disgusting.

I dislike Bieber as much as the next guy but seriously, pointless. Let them have their shit. If they were to like good bands then the fans would be annoyed about all these "no-fans ruining their bands image".

*Reads thread title*

If I had a nickle for every time someone used that phrase...

Everyone has different preferences and tastes, simple as that. It's part of what makes us human. No sense flipping out over something as trivial as music tastes.

I only liked them when Mike Patton was involved.

But I might be a fanboy for him, so they may have good music without him, but I don't know.

I hope you enjoy dude :)

I like Evanescence. Some would call me an emo just because of that. I hate the lyricless noise that some of my peers like nowadays, and that colors my opinion of them in favor of their being a culturally dead moron. It's really all just preference and taste.

Can you explain the point of this? Anyone?

I think Opeth and Bieber suck but I'm not going to bash you about it. Most of the people I know absolutely love Step Brothers. I think it's one of the stupiedest movies I've ever seen but I have never felt the need to tell people about or make them feel as if they're somehow lower than me.

For all the hate beiber gets, well, I don't get it. Maybe my first mistake is I don't listen to his songs, I've heard one, but don't pay attention, but overall, he isn't directed at most of us. He's directed at younger kids. You know, little boys and girls.

All I have to say, is that if I had a daughter listening to him, I wouldn't mind so much because at least she isn't listening to soulja boy or a lot of the other mainstream songs about grinding hoes and the like. I mean, really.

I mean, for what little I know about him, I saw him in a super bowl commercial with ozzy Osborn. He replaces ozzy, and when Ozzy says, "what the fuck is a beiber" there is beiber in the background with a beard saying 'I dunno, but he looks like a girl.'

He poked fun at himself and did a commercial with ozzy. Overall, he doesn't seem like a bad kid.

Personally, I lost my faith in humanity when I first discovered Fox News.

OT: It's subjective. Don't judge her, even if her taste is atrocious and she'll hopefully soon grow out of it. It's a pretty big exaggeration to say that this has caused you to lose faith in humanity :p
