I love the Escapist

There seems to be less spelling mistakes. As I've said before, I am physically unable to read, translate or generally understand a text that seems to almost entirely consist of abbreviations such as "u", "r" and even "2" (in reference to an actual word), or one where the author cannot understand simple homophones such as "to", "too", "two", and "affect" and "effect", among countless other base errors that continue to damage me mentally due to the rage that ensues.
Also, I find the atmosphere more relaxed (the last forum I was in was in an MMO of sorts, and involved leadership on my part, which involved a lot of furious typing and witty put-downs, which can really take a lot out of you if you aren't enjoying it), and the conversation even intelligent.
Plus, "you gay", "******" and other similarly one-dimensional insults and their propagators are usually dealt with in a swift manner. I can't stand homophobes and people who use homophobic insults (who aren't necessarily homophobes because the insults are so commonplace, but are still banal - I also hate boring people).
However, I am unable to "love", and my friend quota is filled up this year, so I shall refer to you all as my "mutual acquaintances".

Yes, I love this place, always have always will. But we hardly need threads about how much we love it.
As much as I love The Escapist I've been on here less and less of late.
Soon I will probably leave to concentrate on my exams more. But I shall return one day with your salvation.

I like the escapist for many different reasons.
- People are mature.
Most are well educated.
We seem to share humor and interests and at the same time the site attracts many different groups of people.
I like all the series.
I like the badge system.
I like the color scheme and overall design of the site.
I like that it's updated so frequently.
I like the lack of annoying adds.

i love it because its a group of people who pump out a constant flow of awesome shows with fourms full of intelectual people that actually have intresting coversations. no other place in the frozen tundra of the internet has that.
I love the Escapist and the community. I've probably spent more time on the Escapist than on my College work (not really a good thing). I do wish I had joined up a bit sooner as I would have less time to wait to get my "Landmark" badge... oh and spent more time here with you wonderful people as well. Actually I joined in the dark times before forum badges when the worth of a man could not be seen in 4 small squares.
Why I love the Escapist:
- People on the forums are civilized *looks at GameFAQS*
- The reviews and articles are legitimate and not auctioned off to the highest bidder *looks at Gamespot*
- They have ZP, Unskippable, ENN, LRR, Movie Bob, and Doraleous *looks at all other gaming websites*
- They don't suck donkey balls *looks at IGN*
- People on the forums are civilized *looks at GameFAQS*
