God hates dBags

Where does the bible say you can preach it?

Keep preaching Bar-Jesus (if they are as well versed in the bible as they say, they will get this)

picture of the crucifixion underneath saying "who died and made you god?"

We respect the 1st ammendment, not you

The best thing everyone can do is just ignore these people and stop talking about them. Paying attention to them is what lets them do what they do for a living.
Quoted for truth. Just ignore them, they're only doing it for attention anyways.

I'd say go with a sign that says something along the lines of "Yog-Sothoth Hates Everything" or the classing "Cthulhu Fhtagn". Short, perhaps a bit old (I prefer "classic"), but to the point.

One of my all time favourite protest posters said 'Homophobia is gay'. Maybe you could do something like 'I enjoy anal sex with men and I'm still not as gay as the Westboro Baptist Church'? I like it, I like it a lot.

"Look what they did to Bin Laden!!"

Pretty much says it all.
Meh, after 10 years of being outsmarted by one guy.
I mean, they take TEN FUCKING YEARS and now everybody praises them for it?
America sure has some low-ass standards as far as military goes.
ummm. . . wrong thread?
Er, no. I quoted the other guy.

Also, what's up with people who put dots throughout their triple-dot thingies, whatever the term for that is? Seriously, ". . ." just looks weird.
well, um, no, actually. this thread is dedicated to "celver" slogans to put on a sign as a counter protest to the WBC. the afore mentioned is your opinion on the U.S military. so, yeah, wrong thread.

also, it's called an ellipse. essentially it dictates a pause. it's a tool used to communicate an idea in a certain fashion so as to be better understood in text.

Example:

"Oh! Hi, Larry." as if speaking directly to the person. this is a common greeting and indicates a positive familiarity on its own.

vs.

"Oh! Hi. . . [i.e, pause] Larry." the pause hints at a sort of unwelcome apperance by the character Larry.

You get the idea.

it's also used to indicate that bits of statements have been removed for clarity purposes, like to keep the flow of an article in tact.

Example:

so this:

"So I told the judge, hang on one second. HEY! GET OFF MY LAWN! Sorry. Anyway, I thought he was wrong."

. . . becomes this:

"So I told the judge. . . . I thought he was wrong."

Now go forth and use this new and exciting knowledge to your advantage.
If you're going to troll the Escapist, you're definitely going to need to do alot better than that. But I feel like having a bit of fun, so...

First off, quotes get pretty damn off-topic, not only here but on pretty much every other forum in existence. If you're not used to that you've got some learning to do.

And as far as ellipses go, they don't have spaces between the dots. It's written "...", and ". . ." just makes you look like a douchebag.

Serious post time.

Ummm... Let's see how can I put this... What did New Zealand do? Nada? I thought so. This bastard killed over two thousand people and slaughtered the innocent. He's been hiding in a region of desert and people who aren't fond with us, one wrong move could mean WWIII. He wasn't smart, he was a coward, like a web troll. The USA caught the most wanted man in the world and the bastard responsible for 9/11. You gave 200 defense personnel and some SAS. We spent time and resources looking for someone behind a decade long war and era of fear. So fo course we got REALLY low standards for the world's most powerful military. No,no,no you're totally right, did you find that out all on your or do you just post and than go shove off.

CHRSIT! Let's see you do better
Since when were New Zealand actively trying to help find Bin Laden?
...and since when did we send 200 defense personnel and some SAS? I thought we had like, maybe a dozen people lying around in Afghanistan. I didn't even know NZ's army was 200 strong. We don't need a huge military because we don't go around sticking our dick in every other Middle Eastern country we can find. For god's sake, a soldier seeing a pulled grenade and chucking it away makes the front page of the national news in this country.

Any of these should work.
Number 23 is awesome

Just go with that, anything that starts like that
I thought 13 was the best, personally.

I like "Judge not, lest ye be judged." or "He who is without sin cast the first stone.", not particularly clever, but it makes the point pretty well.

How about, "Jesus was a hippie, not a Nazi." with pics of usual long haired peaceful Jesus next to Jesus with a bad combover and a Hitler stache, maybe with WBC written in the background. I guess it takes a little artistry, but it would be epic.

Don't make a sign.

Just stand next to one of them in a "I'm with stupid ----->" T-Shirt.
What? No way. I'd go with the a sign that read "I'm NOT with Stupid ---->"

I'm not sure why you felt the need to bring NZ into it... But from the outside, the US just seems sad. People partying in the street over Bin Laden's death seems remarkably similar to crazy ass Islamic extremists burning flags and dancing in the streets.

We can't afford to go to war (and neither can you ironically). We have more important things on our plate, like eliminating national poverty, raising education levels, trying to reduce the national deficit - that kind of thing.

I don't disagree with having troops in Afghanistan, its our responsibility to the UN and to the principle of collective security. But to be honest, finding one guy, after ten years, and killing him... not really a major deal. I spose its just that America is failing so hard in Afghanistan (and Iraq) that it needs these little victories.
