I need some help. I'm looking for a good, relatively modern FPS that is not a hyper realistic military shooter. I'm looking for something with big guns, huge explosions, and a just all around fun experience.

I'm playing on the PC, but I'm sort of lost for what to get. Bioshock 1 and 2 look good, but I don't want to deal with SecuRom shit or other DRM crap. I was looking at Serious Sam HD, but I'm not entirely sure.

Can anyone recommend me a good, just plain fun FPS for the PC?

I currently own
Orange Box
Left 4 Dead 2
Republic Commando

Got any others I might be interested in?

Aah, Serious Sam.
Great times.

I definatly recommend that, and SS 2 even if you don't like 1, as they're both very different, but still amazing.

The basic plot is:
You shoot some enemies.
You shoot some new enemies.
You shoot a big enemy.
You shoot the BIGGEST ENEMY EVAH IN THE HISTORY OF GAMING.

With jokes along the way.

... TF2...

You could also try TF2.

And then there's TF2.
And we mustn't forget TF2.

Did I mention TF2?
This man is full of truth and victory, did you hear?

I think he said he already has the Orange Box, which has TF2 in it.

You could always try Painkiller if that's for the PC.

Try Time Splitters 2, and 3 they're good I assure you.
I've got both of those on the PS2. They are great, but right now I'm kinda looking for some PC games.

The "TimeSpliters" series is always an enjoyable romp. It's funny, quirky, and doesn't look or play half bald for being last generation games. If you're looking for great games from the current generation, I'm sorry, nothing compares with the games of the past.

TF2 is a good shot for random maddness fuled fun.

but because you allready have it im going to say halo.

sometimes non-realism can make the best games.....remember MW2....look what happened to that because of the dev team orgasming over realism....the jizz got on there keybords and made them mess up the programing and made the game suck.

Most of these have already been mentioned but oh well:

Armed & Dangerous
Left 4 Dead
Painkiller
Serious Sam 1 & 2
Star Wars Republic Commando
Unreal Tournament (1, 2004, 3)
Unreal 1 & 2

And...well, I'm hard pressed to call Halo realistic so I recommend that one too (and Halo 2 Vista; it's not nearly as bad as people make it out to be).

Can't think of much else right now.

Halo on the PC allows you to download Halo Custom Edition right?
It does indeed, and that's endlessly entertaining if you find the right maps.
