I've just go to ask here, If you have TF2, why do you need another game? we have a whole group of people dedicated to playing it right here.

I need some help. I'm looking for a good, relatively modern FPS that is not a hyper realistic military shooter. I'm looking for something with big guns, huge explosions, and a just all around fun experience.
as loath as I am to suggest it, Halo. no iron sights or anything, and some of hte most ridiculous gunfights ever. umm...what else...

if you don't mind 3rd person, you could try Just Cause, but be warned that it has voice acting that is so bad it will physically hurt you.

Mass Effect 2 is skirting the edge of what is realistic and unrealistic.

on the original xbox:

The Suffering 1 and 2, but it has hilarious amounts of swearing.

You could also try TF2.

And then there's TF2.
And we mustn't forget TF2.

Did I mention TF2?
Dude you totally left out TF2! Dont worry man i got it covered.

Tf2 is the best competetive multiplayer game in the history of mankind and you should buy it. Its a shining example of what multiplayer should be. Balenced, fun, hectic, tactical, genius, and friggin INSANE. Realism and bouncy cartoony fun are mixed to perfection. Get it. Get it now. Then get it yesterday.

Is Black on PC? Because if it is, then there's your answer. If it isn't, then I can suggest you a good Third-person shooter with great replay value.

The Club.

Yeah, Multiplayer's dead, but the single player offers so much, and is so replayable. It's challenging, fast paced, and addicting.

Halo on the PC allows you to download Halo Custom Edition right?
It does indeed, and that's endlessly entertaining if you find the right maps.
Sounds like a good buy then. My brother is actually looking for it. Christmas coming up, seems like a good idea. Thanks for the confirmation.
Yeah. Definitely get Halo.

I would recommend Borderlands as well.

Make sure you do some research on it before you buy it, because some people really don't like it, and they have reason not to. However, if its your kind of game, you'll love it as much as I did.

Aah, Serious Sam.
Great times.

I definatly recommend that, and SS 2 even if you don't like 1, as they're both very different, but still amazing.

The basic plot is:
You shoot some enemies.
You shoot some new enemies.
You shoot a big enemy.
You shoot the BIGGEST ENEMY EVAH IN THE HISTORY OF GAMING.

With jokes along the way.
The Serious Sam HD thing is on sale on Steam... worth the $10?

By far. Anything up to $30 in my opinion.

Shoo. And don't come back without it!

I've learned after reading many of the replies here that there's a shocking amount of people who don't understand what the hell an FPS is... but what wasn't shocking was the fact that most of the games mentioned were made in the last 10 years.

TimeSplitters 3

Humor galore, and it's better than the whole Halo series combine.

I always wanted to try TF2, but because my last laptop was shit, I couldnt run it. Than they started coming out with those updates... I feel I have the same problem as Yahtzee, in that I just cant catch up to everybody else.
