It doesn't have an end game, but Sims might be a good one. I haven't played it in ages, but back when i was around 10 or 11, i'd play for DAYS on end, good times. I'd play it right now if i could; sadly, no linux wine functionality...

Oblivion or morrowwind, if you can wait then skyrim. Ive spent over 1000 hours on oblivion so yeah its quite long.
If you're into shooters, I'd say Mass Effect or Fallout 3. Both take a very long time to complete (unless you JUST do the main storyline, which is no fun) and are really great games.
If you're not into shooters, I'd say Dragon Age or Oblivion. Both take a stupidly long time to play, and will suck you in. I have at least 1k hours in it, and I'm still doing new stuff. Again, don't JUST do the main storyline.
If you like RTS, pick up SC2. Its really fun, and the custom maps get more and more inventive every day. Besides that, the campaign is sooooo gooooood.

Several people have suggested Deus Ex, and I have to say the same. Your computer will have to be pretty high end to really enjoy it, but the same can be said about SC2, and I enjoy it just fine with my decent comp.

What helps when I've run out of games to play is doing a general google search and slowly narrowing it down till I find a game that tickles my pickle.
So why did you quote me?
Just moar proof @ the OP that Oblivion is good :D
