http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/AGoodNameForARockBand Has lots of funny ones.

You sound like the coolest band ever, do you have any songs on Youtube or something?

Hmm, Kill Corps sound fun, as does Modicum of Steel.

Rocklcopter, Deaflok, and pretty much any random word, but in german. Die Macht is power (or something like that). Hell, "It sounds evil in German" is a good name if you ask me.

EDIT: Mnemonic Steel.

Off the top of my head...

Searching for Silence
Cold as Night
Cryptography
Signals of Solitude

Or something else in that vein. Best suited for metalcore or melodeath--if your inclination is more for power metal or the like, just go for balls-to-the-wall silly ("Toxic Panther" or something), and if you're more into black metal, doomcore, or whatnot, I'm pretty sure Skullfucked hasn't been used yet.

I read from a previous escapist thread that if you click random twice in wikipedia you get a good name.

I'd say the mega puggers.

metallica, slipknot, avenged sevenfold and lamb of god.

speeded up thrash metal with some tap/shred solos thrown in.
*snickers like a retard*

Seriously, you can't get metal influence from a non-metal band.
Considering metal itself has been influenced by almost everything at some point or another... you can take influences from pretty much anywhere and if you're skilled enough as a musician you can make them work.
Also, which of those four isn't metal in your opinion? Lamb of god and metallica are Heavy metal and thrash, respectively, and slipknot and avenged sevenfold come under heavy metal or metalcore. I'm confuzzled...
Metallica is classic.

Lamb of God is fucking Lamb of God.

Slipknot is Slipknot.

Avenged Sevenfold is the metal equivalent of a boy band.
It could be worse. Most people our age listen to shit like N-dubz.
I've never got why avenged sevenfold get this kind of flak though. I dunno try listening to 'Reminissions' or their cover of Walk by Pantera. Those kick ass. Drums on Remissions particularly are a beast.

4 Car Pile Up; The logo could be a top down view of 4 cars running head on into eachother forming a plus or an X.

Skinned; As for the logoyou could show a human body with all the muscles intact but missing the skin.

Dire Ferret; A giant (or not so giant) ferret with sharp looking claws, barred (and possibly serated) teeth, and blood splattered fur that stands on end.

That is all I have for now...

Metal Gods is already a moniker used to refer to Judas Priest, derived from a song of the same name on their British Steel album.

OT: Strong Induction, Principle of Explosion, Geometric Mean, Radius of Convergence

I love math.
