If I recall, air has O2, not O. So to get an H2O from H2 and O2, you have to put twice as much H2 as the air. Because:

H2 + O2 = H20

2 H2O + O2 = 4 H + 2 O = 2 H2O

This is an important detail.
You think you're so smart! With your... education!
Why do I think you couldn't have put so much vile into the words "child killer"? [/Pratchett]

So obviously you need to add half of the air to your powdered water, so just condense half of the air on earth into a small area and add that to your powdered water and presto you'll have water.

Also i'd love to see powdered hydrogen, that would be cool.
No, no, it doesn't work like that.

Write down how much powdered water you have. Then, estimate how much does it weight. Then just calculate, how many atoms are in your powdered water, then how much nanograms of air you would need... Or just fill the box to the half with frozen O2.

Also, with the powdered hydrogen... I think you can try to freeze it and then cut/smash to pieces. On Pluto.

I really hope everyone here already knows their chemistry
or else your going to end up with a seriously messed up version of it...

You add air. Obviously.

See, water is called H2O, so you've got the H2, now add the O.

2H2O = D2O = Heavy Water.

I think, yeah?

I think, yeah?
Nope. Close, but no donuts. D2O is a H2O using a different izotope of hydrogen. 2 H2O means there are 2 particles of H2O.

Yeah do this and you get water... and a nice funeral, because that reaction is an explosion.
Also H2 doesn't come in powder.
Assuming we combine 4H + 2O using combustion, yes. But not an explosion - water vapor. We also assume the water is in powder. The most logical answer is that there is some sort of addition to the "powdered" hydrogen. I mean, if someone can detach H2 from O, he can also come up with a new way of bending the laws of nature.

With the mighty power of Google I have deducted that there is no such thing as powdered water.

Just to be 100% sure, there are a lot of strange things in the world after all.
On that topic, my Granddad used to sell tins of fresh air from Cumbria. Honestly, I'm not joking. People even got in touch asking for refills.

The Roltons did some very dodgy things in their businesses....

Sillies, to get water from powdered water you add heat.

OP took the question from Steven Wright.

Or, maybe Powdered Water does exist:

When Google can't answer a question, we pray, for surely the end is nigh.
