That good sir, is a puss moth catepillar, very famous caterpillar because of it's novel method of defense against predators. It projectile-vomits on them.

Anyway, look it up, see what it eats and keep it until it metamorphasises.

i dunno what it is but it looks like its wearing a sweater and i bet some weird colored goo would come out of both ends if u stepped on it. i remember where i lived in NC there were these big furry caterpillars that i used to run over with my bike and bright yellow goo would shoot out
