Time for a huuuuuge list! Feel free to pm me if you want more!
All of them are awesome except for maybe Mushroom head
Takedown is by an artist called Blue Stahli. I've reviewed his debut album in the reviews forum. I strongly recommend Celldweller as well. Both are fantastic additions to any music library.

I also suggest LMFAO - Party Rock Anthem. :)

Kasabian are pretty awesome British band. Check them out!

If you're interested on other songs, Reason is Treason, Empire, Underdog, Vlad the Impaler and Fire are all great songs.

Radiohead. You MUST listen to this brilliant Alternative/Electronic band :)

It's hard to suggest a song for them since they have many different songs from each album which different styles... so i'l suggest one from each.

The Bends: Just
OK Computer: Paranoid Android
Kid A: How To Dissapear Completely
Amnesiac: I Might Be Wrong
Hail To The Thief: There There and Sit Down Stand Up
In Rainbows: Bodysnatchers
The King of Limbs: Lotus Flower

Another group I suggest is Justice, they're brilliant.

That Justice album in great from beginning to end. And as a side note, if anyone hasn't tried to listen to Daft Punk's Discovery all the way through then you're probably a bad person.

While we are on electronica, Ratatat's Classics or She Wants Revenge's self titled and if you like it kind of weird go for The Knife - Deep Cuts.

Also, not electronica but it reminded me somehow: Foals - Antidote. Don't try to read into that one too much. Fun live band, btw. I tend to be biased towards bands I've seen live. Except Conor Oberst and the Mystic Valley Band... they were awful and Oberst was an ass.

I second anyone who mentions Pendulum. As for my contribution:

Five Finger Death Punch

and Escape the Fate (more so the newer album: Escape the Fate)

I have a couple things I suggest you check out if you haven't listened to it before.
First, Porcupine Tree.
I saw them live last year, and it was arguably the best live show I've ever been to, and I've been to quite a few live shows. This live song is off the album "Deadwing" and the other is off "Fear of a Blank Planet". EDIT: correction, they're both live. Heh, I thought it was a recording, but they're so good I couldn't tell...

These guys are cool too knocked my teeth out with how awesome they are. I heard these 3 songs in a row the first time I listened to them and was hooked.

If you're still here, I suggest you try these:

If you like epic solos and brutal riffs:

try Animals as leaders if you're into more Technical jazzy prog rock

you mentioned you had Demon Days and Plastic Beach, IMO clint eastwood remains their best song

if you're into alternative-y rock :

and finally, pure unadeltrated AWESOME!

I hope those embeds worked...

EDIT: oh my god, how could I forget Porcupine Tree? seconded.

Tell me do you like the "Gothic", "Metal" or "Post-Hardcore" Genres?

If so try listening to some of the things on Nuclear blast's channel on youtube.

Link:
http://www.youtube.com/user/NuclearBlastEurope

If not well you don't need to like it. You don't even have to like music in reality. But if you do like the above genres there is some good stuff there.

If you like things that are not I do also know of some other music that you might like.

Other bands that are good but I am not linking to include:
Sum 41
Blink 182
Queen
Filter

Many more but I am lazy

The Bronx are awesome!
The first song isn't really what most of their stuff sounds like, but it's great so I thought I'd put it up. They also do a mariachi band too...

Last time I was in one of these threads, someone suggested these guys, and I fell in love with this song. Should try pass it on. Chilled guitar, but gets into it later.

Radio Moscow - 250 miles
Kula Shaker - Dr Kitt
Pigeon John - The Bomb
And I know Dubstep is a bit wierd, I dont like most of the songs I hear that are dub, but this is pretty funky. mebe its the piano...
Just trying to share my recent finds haha.
I love these types of topics, because they help me as well. Rodrigo Y Gabriella are amazing, and some of that other funk stuff was smooth.
Hope you enjoy.

No metal...but SPEED metal is fine?

Eurgh, whatever.

Anyway, Relient K are awesome. Rise Against, City & Colour, Closure In Moscow, Coheed and Cambria, Streetlight Manifesto...all my fave bands.
Heh. I haven't heard about Relient K in a long time. I did sound for one of their shows back when I was in high school. It was 2000 or 2001. They were doing the Christian Punk scene. I was doing a part-time job for moolah.

I'm from the UK and can recommend some good British indie/alternative

Young Knives
Maxinmo Park
Franz Ferdinand
Arctic Monkeys

If you like it more pop then try The Kooks - a must if you like accents, try the song "naive".

A selection of old and current favourites... I've tried to keep a bit of variety, as well as include some lesser known bands.

I got a tad carried away there. All apologies. Hope you enjoy... Failing this, just listen to Radiohead. Lots and lots and lots of Radiohead.
