I like your taste in music. Ahherum. Canadian bands? Said The Whale, Stars, Mother Mother, Jeremy Fisher, Hannah Georges? Idk, Caribou and The Killers aren't bad either. Blur's stuff is prety good too. ;D

Have you tried the Gorillaz? :D
I know how this looks, with my avatar and all, but they're ... SO GOOD. @- @
They have songs from alt-rock, pop, rap, indie-ish, techno, reggae, classical, jazz.

What is this. This is good music. 8D

Try Demon Days, the album.
I second this.
I love your taste in music as well.
Their new album comes out in ... like 11 days! 8D
But they leaked it themselves pretty much. THEY'RE SO NICE. <3

The title is pretty much explains it, I want some music that I don't already listen to on the radio tight hundred times a day and from what I can tell most people on the Escapist have quite the good taste in music so I'm asking you escapist what music should I get, No metal though (Speed Metal is fine) I'll try to listen to everyone's suggestions.
If it helps I like Rock, Jazz, Alternative, and Some sorts of pop like Atomic tom.
Buckethead is a solo guitarist he is amazing i can't really describe the genre because his music goes through tones of genres just go listen to his music and don't give up on him if you don't like the first song you hear.

Iron Maiden a good classic metal band they aren't extreamly heavy at all but they were concidered extream in the 80s. They have awesome guitar solos and if your into it some of the guitar solos last like 5 minutes.

foo fighters is a good rock band im sure you have heard of them some of their songs are heavy like the pretender other aren't but they're awesome any ways.

Queens of the stone age are a good alternative rock band a lot of their videos are based around sex but unlike a lot of sex orientated bands their music is awesome.

Don't really know much jazz i like jazz but i don't really know any jazz artist.

My favourite band of all time, these are a couple of their more melodic singles, some of their stuff is a lot heavier

All my current favourite songs (which actually have official music videos)
Sorry bit too... Screamo, For my liking
Sorry to get technical (not really technical, just anal) but screamo is neither a genre nor an adequate way to describe a band, any band at all, especially one as purely god-like as Periphery

He didn't necessarily say he was describing the genre, just the vocals that he doesn't like. To be honest, if he doesn't want metal, posting djent was a poor idea :p
