I use the name I use here. I thought up "Kyosai" myself, till I looked up an old game of mine, a fun JApanese themed Diablo-clone called "Throne of Darkness" and found out a wizard was named that. All characters are based off historical figures, and Wikipedia told me the name "Kyosai" was actually the name of Japan's first caricature artist. I think my name got a lot cooler. I just added the number since plain "Kyosai" was taken...

Not at all- I've met plenty of people who are friendly, but I still think that Yahtzee hit the nail on the head when he called us a bunch of hooting dickholes.
Oh yeah, I believe you. It's just that there's been alot of threads about XBL unfriendlyness and I've heard that the average player is either the screaming, squeeky 10-year old or the shouting, abnoxious fraternety lads :p Obviously this cannot be the truth. It always takes a minority to destroy a reputation. I'm just saying, after all I've heard and read I'm not exactly eager to buy the XBox 360.
The stuff you've been hearing and reading isn't total exaggeration, either: many are the times when I've come into a pre-game lobby full of ten-year-olds swearing their fool heads off, and I've also seen plenty of lobbies full of cocky fratboys showing off how manly they are. Sometimes, however, I get tossed into a lobby that's full of drunken fratboys (which are actually rather fun to play against). For the ickle babies who shouldn't be witnessing or participating in such violence, I use the following quote: "Hey: 'M' stands for 'Mature,' not 'My Balls Haven't Dropped Yet." Then I mute them.
Same goes for the former category of frats.

I got the 360 because it had Halo (yes, I have seen the light: it is not that great a game), and I'm too poor to get a second console for myself. I sure as hell know I don't want a PC for reasons totally irrelevant to gaming, and the PS3 is so damn expensive, but sooner or later...

Haha.

While playing Socom on my PS3, people keep calling me SuperVagina. My PSN name is SuperVanity, is it really that hard to read?

I get it equally bad on XBL, where my name is VanityGirl. "Hey VaginaGirl". Haha, it's just funny now.

*shrug*

But I've seen some fowl and often hilarious PSN/gamertags of people.

"HorrisPMcTitty" <-XBL
"SuperBigWang" <-PSN

Those were funny and I couldn't help but snort a little when I read them

That just might have been the understatement of this century. Though seeing as how we're only ten years in, you could still get some competition.

I'm still trying to decide whether or not I want to pay for the priviledge of being yelled at by an eight year old who used cuss words instead of... well, every other word.

Mine's "andrat" on xbox live. And yet, people say it "and-ret", "and-raw", and shit like that. Mine isn't really that complicated to pronounce.

Is the fact that my gamertag is "Zuko_The_Rage" on Xbox Live bad? I mean, it shows I'm a fan of Avatar: The Last Airbender, and that I believe Zuko symbolizes rage in the series so...yeah.

Three words, not that hard to say, yet I've gotten some questions about it. Some people confused it with Naruto, and when I corrected them by saying that it was from Avatar one of them called me a nerd. I asked this person what games he played and it turned out he mostly played sports games...and he calls me a nerd.

Edit: I have absolutely nothing against people who play sports games, it was just a wee bit ironic to me...

I created my gamertag before their was an influx of douchebags on the internet. Now all I hear is "u r not such a genioous now r u? LOLOLOL"

*sigh*

Such is life I suppose. And of course, when I /DO/ do something incredibly intelligent, no one mentions it :(

I can't wait for Battlefield Bad Company 2, I want a big heap of dogtags with names like xXXl337sn1p3RXXx.

Mine is sensitivepsycho. I like the alliteration, and couldn't come up with anything cleverer at the time.
