The stuff you've been hearing and reading isn't total exaggeration, either: many are the times when I've come into a pre-game lobby full of ten-year-olds swearing their fool heads off, and I've also seen plenty of lobbies full of cocky fratboys showing off how manly they are. Sometimes, however, I get tossed into a lobby that's full of drunken fratboys (which are actually rather fun to play against). For the ickle babies who shouldn't be witnessing or participating in such violence, I use the following quote: "Hey: 'M' stands for 'Mature,' not 'My Balls Haven't Dropped Yet." Then I mute them.Foggy_Fishburne said:Oh yeah, I believe you. It's just that there's been alot of threads about XBL unfriendlyness and I've heard that the average player is either the screaming, squeeky 10-year old or the shouting, abnoxious fraternety ladsSpekter068 said:Not at all- I've met plenty of people who are friendly, but I still think that Yahtzee hit the nail on the head when he called us a bunch of hooting dickholes.Foggy_Fishburne said:I don't really know what gamertags are but I've gotten the impression that the XBL isn't a very friendly placeObviously this cannot be the truth. It always takes a minority to destroy a reputation. I'm just saying, after all I've heard and read I'm not exactly eager to buy the XBox 360.
That just might have been the understatement of this century. Though seeing as how we're only ten years in, you could still get some competition.Foggy_Fishburne said:I don't really know what gamertags are but I've gotten the impression that the XBL isn't a very friendly place
