I post using my internet pseudonym because it functions as my online identity in a way that my real name simply does not, since I've never really used it online (and have no particular desire to start, since this way I'm invisible, whee!) - you can be certain that if you see "Gildan Bladeborn" somewhere, it's me.

Google my actual name on the other hand and you'll be barraged with so many incorrect results that sifting through it to find the real one would essentially require you to already know all the details that looking me up online was supposed to accomplish (like who my family is, or my home address); the "fake name" simply has far more relevance to my online activities.

My real name is a thing that has annoyed me for years, and it's horrible to make non-Scandinavians pronounce it.

I don't have a middle name

My last name is the only thing I like, but its my real name, and I don't post with my real name.

Besides, I'm a different person on the internet then irl, so I have a different name.

I use this username pretty much everywhere now, no one ever takes it (it's even my gamertag, i take pride in having zero numbers)

I'm with you on the gamertag thing and I wanted to be sure that I didn't have numbers in mine. I personally hate having to do that for ANYTHING and try to come up with something as unique as possible. Surprisingly, people have used my username in other places, even though my version of it was created by students of my dad who passed it on to me once they knew who I was.
