As a Scot, I have to agree. Haddock is the master race of the chippie fish.
Thank you! Haddock is amazing! Any other fish is just not as deserving as Haddock is. Especially cod.
I came on here with one purpose!

To try and form a hardcore Haddock Splinter group!

WHO'S WITH ME?

I'm with you all the way! I've been trying to find a hardcore Haddock Splinter group So we could discuss Haddocks and show other people how cooking haddock is really done!

People criticise haddock because it's no fun to eat by itself, but I always tell them - the point of Haddock is to eat it with other people, so meriting it on the value of eating it alone is a flawed principle!

Thank you! Someone else who gets how haddocks are supposed to be eaten, they're meant to be enjoyed with friends and people around the world. Eating it alone makes it so much less amazing.

It's just not the experience Haddock's were designed for.

Finally, someone who understands.

Ruined a great joke by explaining it at the end. That's such a shame.
Doesn't mean there still won't be people who don't bother reading it and then post about how they hate/love the game. :>

Hate CoD?
Why?
It's just a game.
I don't enjoy it, but it never murdered my mom or anything.

You got me.
Sir, fish is not a game. Fish is a very serious subject! Do you know how many people around the world eat cod every day? This stuff is important!

You do know he's talking about the fish cod not the game.

Try reading the post instead of just the title.

Honestly? it's better than Halo. Or rather, I find COD on PC more palpable than say on console. I really can't get on with console controls, and if you watch videos of console players they get away with this that PC players would get punished for.

Sorry there I went rather off topic.

OT: If you don't like it, don't play it :)
Yes, yes you did go a bit off topic.

Now post about fish and not about Call of Duty.

This is a thread about cod not CoD.

Read the post and not just the title people.

Ah ha! I see what you did there. Very clever.

As for Cod (the fish that is) I really haven't had it often enough to really say whether I like it or not.

For many years I had a nostalgic yearning for Smoked Cod with mashed potatoes and peas, a staple from my childhood. I ate some about a year ago, I can say this Smoked Cod is not like X-Com or Baldur's Gate, it is just the nostalgia that makes it seem good. Yuck. Fresh cod is nice, I'm not even sure it is a "true" cod (a lot of our animals have misleading names because they somewhat resemble european animals) but sleepy cod is a very nice freshwater fish. I myself tend to prefer saltwater fish as they seem to work with South East Asian flavours better.

You just like to hate on cod because it's popular. It's an okay kind of fish. Though salmon is much better. You can get a lot more flavour out of independent fisheries.

[small]I'm so sorry[/small]

You're joking, right? As a man that has fish for dinner 3 times a week I can tell you that you are wrong. That ain't even an opinion of yours, Cod is superior to most types of fish if you get big juicy loins. The only thing that can compete with Cod is Haddock, but they are prepared differently, so not really comparable.
