I recently joined the PC gaming community, how should I expand my gaming library?

Only one I haven't got in some form is Alpha Centuri, though I have heard of it, know where I can get it?

Vampire: The Masquerade

Maybe not the best RPG around, but certainly one of the most memorable. Be warned though, since the devs went belly-up you'll have to get the fan-made patches for it to run decently.

If you're a more of a hardcore realism guy, you could try Red Orchestra 2, it's a very cool realism WW2 game, but not very well known due to it's niche appeal. That, Fallout 3, and Rainbow Six Vegas 2 are pretty much all I play these days/

Binding of Isaac is a damn fine little indy, especially if you like your twin stick shooter/ roguelikes.
Witcher 2 is well worth a playthrough or 2.
Knights of the Old Republic 1&2 are really very good as well. 1 is probably better than 2 for story, though 2 is by no means a bad game, and recently made it to steam. The MMO version goes free to play soon iirc, so a chance to brush up on your lore.
Orcs Must Die 1&2 are also well worth your time, especially if you can find someone to do co-op with in 2.
Also, Bastion. If you write the rest of the post off as the deranged frothing jibberish of a delusional madman, still get Bastion. One of the finest soundtracks in gaming and a great, great game to boot.

EDIT: Btw, how are you enjoying FTL? I am heroin level addicted to that crazy game.

If you are still taking suggestions, Terarria might be worth putting on your wishlist. It's good value, and rather addictive. One of those games that can last for a while.

Also if you are into wargaming, World of Tanks can serve as light entertainment on the side. Drive tanks around and shoot the other team. Great physics and maps, a tactical element as well, and it's free to play.

I've got/played all but Orcs Must Die 2 and Binding of Isaac, didn't know Orcs Must Die had a sequel so that has my attention.

I am loving FTL, the best $10.48 bucks I have ever spent in a while. I got up to the flagship on easy and then died quick, on normal the furthest I have made it is sector 5. It's like crack and will definately tide me over until Borderlands 2 is out here tomorrow.

I've looked into Terraria and have to say it didn't click with me, still it was something different and I was able to play it on my brothers PC for an hour or so just to have a look at it so thanks for that suggestion.

I could tell by the tone of your first post exactly what you were looking for. And unfortunately, there is so much stuff on the PC that you (and I) missed that you will NEVER be able to catch up. You've got to pick and choose carefully.

I can personally vouch for Gothic 2 and Deus Ex 1, but the truth of the matter is, they may not be for everybody. Gothic 2 kicked the shit outta me for awhile until I figured out what was going on. However, if you are familiar with that genre and you feel like you've been short changed by it consistently, then Gothic 2 may be for you.
