Have you ever felt bad about killing someone or something in a game? Either because you really liked them or could relate to them? Please state why.

At the start of Red Dead Redemption you have to- this isn't a massive spoiler by the way-

Shoot rabbits because they were eating the crops.

Now I know you don't have to do this, but you're supposed to, and you also have to kill some for one of the challenges. I felt really bad about doing it because I love them and I used to have a pet one.

I would have to say; fighting members of the Lugovolan empire in Infinite Space made me sad. For the most part I agree with what they're doing.
It doesn't help that the smallest spaceships have a crew of 200. I pretty much committed a small genocide by the time that game was over.

I always hated killing them dogs in Fallout 3, even as they were ripping my neck out. I'd kill half the people in megaton for the lulz, but I hate killing dogs. Rabid dogs. Odd that.

I went back afterwards when I realised they were all innocent and tried to revive Ocheeva with my new spell. He was a zombie for a while. I cried inside.

But in all seriousness, I feel really bad after killing a civvie in Assassin's Creed 2. Just makes me feel bad for some reason. I dunno why, I did it without remorse in AC1.
