I hate it in CoD4 when they sick the dogs at you.I love Dogs with 16% of my metaphorical heart. The only thing that I love more then that is Kingdom Hearts.
So killing Dogs in games feels bad for me I guess.

Whenever I sniper someone who isn't aware of any danger, I hope that they die painlessly.

Also, whenever I hit a minivan in NFS:Most Wanted. The image of a dying family always enters my head...

The end of Armoured Core: For Answer.

That game makes you into a genocidal maniac, and the only reason your character wins is because you're the player character.

Talk about a small genocide.

I hate repeatedly killing new players in games, it doesn't feel right or as satifying as killing people the are of the same skill or better

Despite everything he had done, I felt a little bad for Jon Irenicus in Baldur's Gate. This quote from the end of the game in particular:

I... I do not remember your love, Ellesime. I have tried to. I have tried to recreate it, to spark it anew in my memory. But it is gone... a hollow, dead thing. For years, I clung to the memory of it. Then the memory of the memory. And then nothing. The Seldarine took that from me, too. I look upon you and I feel nothing. I remember nothing but you turning your back on me, along with all the others. Once my thirst for power was everything. And now I hunger only for revenge. And... I... Will... HAVE IT!!

I don't think I'll be able to play most wanted in the same way again. :L

after i beat gruntilda at the end of banjo kazooie, and she got trapped under a big rock, i wanted to shift the rock so that i could shake her hand, congratulate her and maybe get some drinks sometime and review our epic battle

i dont suppose its exactly the same, but the first time i played fable, i killed my sister at the end so that id get the sword of aeons. i felt TERRIBLE... (plus the sword was a major letdown, "youll be as powerful as jack" she said, and yet i couldnt fly and shoot beams of light or summon minions)

Have you ever felt bad about killing someone or something in a game? Either because you really liked them or could relate to them? Please state why.

At the start of Red Dead Redemption you have to- this isn't a massive spoiler by the way-
Shoot rabbits because they were eating the crops.
Now I know you don't have to do this, but you're supposed to, and you also have to kill some for one of the challenges. I felt really bad about doing it because I love them and I used to have a pet one.

So, what about you?
i love all animals but i hunt and you know what? THEM RABBITS IS GOOD EATIN!

Oh come on you guys... no companion cube?! I know Portal was a while ago, but man- I've not had a game that's matched the heartbreak I felt there.

It's weird. I love stealth, and taking out enemies without them or their friends realising.

But then I feel guilty that they didn't have a chance to defend themselves, or that they were just doing their job, and that they didn't agree with what their boss was doing, and only worked for him so that his seven children can eat for a week...

Then I kill the guys boss, and every things fine.

Thats why I prefer to knock out guards unless they say or do something particularly immoral in my opinion. Then I'll go out of my way to kill them.

That and dogs. I dont like killing dogs.

Yeah, now that you mention is, I def have felt bad for killing some enemies. Can't really think of which ones right now, but I know there were some. Enemies that were really good guys, enemies that had a spark of noble goodness in them, stuff like that.

And enemies I would have like to beat and then use them myself! "Hey mister dragon, instead of killing you, I'm putting a saddle on your back so you can carry all my stuff and fly me around the kingdom!" Yeah, that would be awesome...

Same dude, I felt bad about killing Mraaj or whatever his name is, the Kajihit that hated you until that moment.
