I Still Play Pokemon...

...and I'm proud of it. Just made this thread for anyone else who still plays Pokemon and wants to nerdgasm about anything related to it. I'll kick this thread off by saying my favorite pokemon ever is Gallade from the 4th generation. Great for competitive play. Also, does anyone have any opinions on the new Black and White games coming out next year? I think that they look really stupid to be honest. The new pokemon look like they were all made in a single day by a class of kindergardeners. This might just be early speculation based on videos I've seen, but this is my opinion. Anyone disagree? Agree?

Why does everyone say 'Still' play Pokemon? I don't understand why everyone assumes that it's a kid's game. The Metagame is intriguing and very strategic, and the addition of a new gen. is great for me, just because it adds a whole new dimension of strategy. (Except when shoddy temporarily removed Garchomp and Salamence from Ubers....)

Yeah, I'm almost 20 and I play. 1st and 2nd generation are my favourites, but I can bare with the rest. Still haven't played Diamond/Pearl, though. Black/White will be interesting.

I loved Gollumn, Dugtrio, electrode, magnemite, electabuzz, and the original eevee evolutions
My favorite is probably zapdos. I also love my Charazard.

you just have to love pokemon man, i'm currently playing emerald as i've never played it much. And i think the new black and white games look pretty sick tbh i have a friend at college who has a (70%ish) translated rom for it on his DS, and it looks amazing man, the fact that all the pokemon are new just kinda makes me nostalgic of when i first played the game and i didnt know which pokemon were the best to use or what the gyms were going to be.

You think the new Pokemon look stupid? I assume you've played gens 1 and 2, minimum, from what you've said. Explain to me, how Jynx, Magmar, Voltorb, Diglett, and Magnemite are original and not completely retarded in any way.

But from what I've seen of the B&W 'mon they do look a bit, well, shit. :/

Yeah, they do kinda look silly, but I'll learn to love them.

Oshawott is indeed an awesome name. I've decided to just suspend my disbelief and embrace the 5th-Gen Pokemon for what they are: extremely silly. Not that there's anything wrong with that. I'm personally more particular to Snivy, but Oshawott's evolutions are really cool, if you've seen them. I do play Pokemon quite frequently, and I'm really excited for Black and White.

And yes, Heart Gold is awesome. Cyndaquil is still my favourite Fire-type starter ever, and will never not be. I don't really like Chikorita, though. Totodile is okay, I suppose, it's really really good if you give it physical moves like Ice Punch, Aqua Tail, Earthquake, to name a few, but in the looks department, Totodile and its evolutions are trumped by the Squirtle and Oshawott families.
