...It looks terrible...
A few gimmicky combos/moves and call it a game?
It looks like another half assed console release.

It kinda actually made me want it less too. Looks worth renting and trying though.

You people make me both sick at my stomach, and you make my sides hurt with laughter.

On one hand, you have people who buy into every single piece of hype the media throws at them.

On the other you have people who want to be edgy and have a big ol' bone against society and seethe with hatred against anyone who gets any hype whatsoever.

Like how Metallica lost a huge chunk of fans in the 90's because they became too popular. Its fucking hillarious.

Let me finish with my crazy idea. How about you loons play the game, and decide for yourself instead of being a bunch of goddamn sheep. Its not even out yet and half of you are crucifying it and the other half are praising it.

So, they decided Crackdown 2 wasn't gonna be cell shaded? Shame, I liked the aesthetic.

Also, I lost any respect the rest of the video could have made me have when one of the official trailer lines was "pwn anything". It's a nice, quick way of making good things look shit.

After seeing that trailer, no way i would go that far. From that it just looks like a pointless brawler with a whole bunch of cool looking moves thrown in, doesn't seem THAT great.

I could definitely see myself living without this game.

It looks like a very pretty game (If pretty can be used to describe a game where you are killing people by the barrel load) with a lot of gameplay options.

But if the story mode is not compelling and it just turns into a go here, kill some people and blow up some shit up, repeat style gameplay it will get really old really fast.

As for videos, go back to the Saints Row 2 Trailers and ask yourself if you'd play that game based on the trailers alone. If you say yes your a liar and should be punished.

I'm pretty sure they lost fans then because they revealed they were massive tools who were obsessed with money. Not the sort of image their fans like.
And if you had talent, formed a band, and were offered gobs of money and a chance to get your art (I am REALLY having trouble calling Metallica Art, but to each their own) shown to a wider audience you'd turn it down for the chance to stay hardcore?

Forgive me if I claim bullshit.

No, but in the situation, if it turned out that there was an online website that offered people the chance to listen to my songs for free, which obviously wouldn't affect my sales in a serious way, I would be unlikely to freak out, hunt my fans down like criminals, and say what they did was the same as armed robbery.

And I wouldn't have fired Dave Mustaine.
Curious though, does all this change how the songs sound? Michael Jackson is a fucking freak, but it doesn't change the audio on my computer when I listen to Thriller.

Maybe my computer is just broken.

I'll hold my judgment on this game until I actually play it.

However, I did notice an unseemly amount of helicopter destruction in that trailer...

If you think of music purely in a series of sounds that are taken individually as pleasing, and not of a deeper sense of expression by the musician in question, then yes.
Yes, music is art, music is also.. MUSIC. Its like saying you didn't like Saints Row because the intent behind it was "Make Grand Theft Auto amounts of cash."

The intent doesn't change the product because I can fucking promise you at least ninety five percent of humanity are greed mongers when given the right chance to be.

And the popularity of it doesn't change the sound either. So what was it tht made people hate them, them treating their loyal fans like criminals, or being "popular"?
Might be my sociology class kicking in but some people simply feel outcasted, or are downright disgusted by society at large and therefore are alienated when things they feel are underground and theirs become apart of the monster they hate.

Metallica had, for a long time, been underground, and some of their fans may have suddenly found themselves to be apart of the society they never wanted to be apart of.

Then again, yes, there are some that forsake the "art" on the action of the artist. God forbid someone just experience the art and ignore the artist which, most times, are raving lunatics.

On topic, I would say that about somewhere around ninety percent of the population feed into hype and base their opinions around it, either following the hype without realizing it, or forsaking the hype outright.

Judging a game either way before you ever play it or know it.

Why.. That sounds vaguely familiar to another aspect of humanity.
