here here those arbitrary quizzes are what slowly takes over peoples free time and they say "ill go to bed after this one" then they do another and another....
I used to do that with Diablo 2.... almost leveled up, I'll just find the next waypoint then bed. 2 am later, I'm still up.

I agree with OP though. Those quiz things are the downfall of mankind. The apocalypse is nigh.
I could not think of a single quiz that was not bullshit or rubbish or both

It should be "spelt". :p
Uhm... no it isn't. It is "spelled".
*looks up spelled and spelt* Hmmmmm....Oh gosh I don't know. English is so confusing. Humans are so confusing. Why did I even come to this planet?

I went through about 2 hours of making sure these quizzes never bother me again... and now facebook has nearly returned to how good it was when i first joined.

Well... What I hate the most about Facebook is that it some people see it as a "See how many friends I can get" competition. I kinda worry why some guys have over 100+ friends. Sure, the quizzes are annoying but then there are some others which are just intended to be funny.

(Plus, there is the whole talking with friends online that can't master obscene the art of Instant Messenger)

I love this thread, haha! I'm one of the few people who actually has never made a Facebook account. And just a couple weeks back I was arguing with my ex-girlfriend about how Facebook is incredibly pathetic and those quizzes are a waste of time.

I made a joke saying, "Before you know it, there will be a Facebook quiz telling you what your favorite color should be!"

...My ex-girlfriend's favorite color should be red, apparently.

But yeah, Facebook has just turned into a place where people like to go to waste their time, update their profile that hardly anybody takes the time to read, and put a little bit too much information of their life on there (I'm not a stalker....).

You guys just noticed this now? So far every post has just been a jump onto the "lol social networking is for 'tards" bandwagon and it's not going to change any time soon.

The real challenge is realising: nothing is going to change no matter what you do, and that no-one cares that you know.

Facebook/Bebo/Myspace are all the equivalent of teenagers sitting at the bottom of the escalators in malls screaming about how everything is so, like, whatever!

Blogs often are just Facebook for loners, and Youtube is a spawning ground for hatred.

Privatised Gossip Dispensers, the lot of 'em.

Eh, I agree to an extent.

But then again, I'm assuming you've never seen the "WHICH BADASS WAY WILL YOU DIE?" quiz. From memory one of the endings involved "RIDING A FUCKING NUKE INTO A VOLCANO!" It was pretty lulz.

I got, "YOU WILL RIP YOUR OWN FUCKING HEAD OFF INFRONT OF A FUCKING SCHOOLBUS"

See? Not all the quizzes are bad.

I liked Facebook before I got about fifty or sixty friends and my wall got clogged. o_O It's impossible to sort through, so I've pretty much given up. I flash in, see what's at the top, flash out.

Also, Facebook chat rapes my laptop and I don't know why. Every time a message pops up, every other text box I have open freezes. When I finally manage to get the text box in FB clicked so it unfreezes and flip back to my previous tab, a new message pops up. Now when someone tries to start a chat i immediately start screaming at them to switch to Yahoo. >.<

For me facebook went the same way as everytime I've attempted to play a MMORPG.

Granted I lasted about 2-3 weeks on facebook when with the average MMORPG I stopped after 3-5 days but eventually I just lost all interest and found it incredibly boring. So I stopped.

I actually quite like Facebook, most of my friends are 'tards and don't use MSN and considering when I am at Uni I am 250 miles away from my home town friends its a great way to keep in touch with the group of friends I am not with.

As for Quizzes... No one is forcing you too take them.

I don't have an account on Facebook/Myspace/Bebo/Whatever. I've never seen the point in them.

I see, so I deleted my Facebook account just in time, I left when right when the quizzes started like as soon as the first quiz came up I just over looked it.... never thought it would turn into a pandemic

Just about to get a divorce and thought my ex (and her new boyfriend) could be spying on me through Facebook - Now I've had to remove them as friends which was the kind of awkward I could do without.

Plus I hate it when people I've worked with for 5 minutes invite me to be their friend. Typically any link I had to them was tenuous enough at work, let alone warrant me increasing their friend count in order to stroke their e-peen or have to see their banal updates on life.

On the other hand it has helped me get in touch with people I went to school with and given me the opportunity to gloat at people who, had our school had a year book, would have been the ones most likely to be presidents of the galaxy by now.. but infact have only succeeded in having too many children or developing life threatening drug addictions.

Eh, I still like my FaceBook. Might do a few 'Top Five' things every now and then, play a few games, but that's about it.

The quizzes are pretty disturbing.. 'who is ur perfect vampire match?'. Yeah, no.
